Pours deep amber into a snifter. Off-white head with good retention leaves spot lacing as it slowly recedes. Orange and alcohol aromas. Thick and heady with upfront caramel and a thin, lasting grapefruit resin and alcohol burn finish. SQNfan (591) - Wheaton, Illinois, USA - JAN 7, 2008
2006 bottle. Copper in color with a light head that retained. The nose is filled with citric hops and some caramel/toffee malt. A smooth and full texture with a rich and sweet midpalate that turns to a dry, bitter finish from the hops. Well made and easily drinkable even with the 9.3% alcohol content. Bottle at Bagers - NewYears evening. Clear dark amber - offwhite head. High hoppy, flowery, grassy, malty sweetness, piney, caramel, high american hoppy, lovely aroma, amber malts. Lasting bitter finish. raiderfost (171) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 30, 2007
Pours a deep amber with a small head. Very nice bitterness and a good intergration of roasted malts. Very well done. Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 28, 2007
Deep amber with a copper touch. Good clean head with nice lacing and all the fun of a IIPA with a touch of B-Wine. Little bro of Hog Heaven is how I may describe it( a little). I like it and would like to pour it all over my face so it stays with me for a while.

22oz bomber. I really like this brew alot. Very potent. This brew pours the most truely brown color of any I’ve seen as of yet. White head of moderately sized bubbles. Smells of strong hops and a good dose of sweetness, brown sugar maybe. This ain’t no IPA but it sure is bitter. It’s got a great hop bitterness to it. Lots of alcohol on the finish, but in a good way! For a big beer its not very thick. Good carbonation and lots of that hop bitterness baby. This beer tastes great. For anyone who loves hops this is a great ale. I wouldn’t drink too much though, potent! beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - DEC 22, 2007
22 oz Bomber-Trade w/pepsican. Poured a deep amber color w/a huge foamy tan head w/lasted thru the brew. Floral hop aroma w/a touch of malt. Had a strong hop flavor on first taste, but that initial bite was well balanced by a full malt finish w/touches of roasted almonds & caramel. Well balanced brew. Alcohol was well hidden. Mouthfeel was a little thin, but it did not take away from the enjoyment of this brew. Thanks Andy! tomthompson89 (1983) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2007
amber color, nice off white head, decent hop nose piney. good smooth hop flavor some malts really drinkable, caremel malts some earthy hops well hidden alcohol. At Volo tyler_mn (2464) - SLP, Minnesota, USA - DEC 20, 2007
22oz bottle from SoLan. The nose is a bit light. Grassy hops with a bit of citrus. Some mild caramel and toffee malt. Inoffensive but really nothing spectacular. Pours a nice looking dark copper with a frothy white head leaving excellent lacing. Fairly aggressively hopped for an ASA. Lots of bitter, oily hops with just a bit of malt to back them up. Bitter across the entire tongue. Not quite palate shredding, but close. Medium bodied and fairly creamy. Finishes bitter with some alcohol astringency. 22oz from Immy - thanks, Tim! Very handsome ruby pour, with a big creamy head. A trace of hops in the nose, with some caramel too. But the taste is a real face-wrecker, all bitter hop aggression, like Arrogant Bastard on basement meth. Some sweet malts raise their hands in the back of the class, but this beer lets you know who’s boss.
