Sample on tap at the brewpub. Clear copper pour with thin white head. Aroma is spicy, lots of caramel, leafy/peppery hops, fruity notes. Taste is sweet, caramel, lingering bitter/spicy finish. Palate is full bodied, light carb. N3lson1 (1010) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - JAN 30, 2016
Drank from a twelve ounce bottle, thank you Jess. Tastes like Lagunitas, move along. mambossa (338) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JAN 27, 2016
Bottle. Pours amber gold with off white head. Nose of spruce, nectarine, candied lemon, syrupy sugar and breadiness. Flavor is some dense syrupy honeylike malt with an assertive juicy apricot, tangerine and floral hop bite typical of any ASA. Slick, syrupy, smooth & silky mouthfeel. Pretty nice! Clear copper colored pour, big off white head that didn’t hang around to long but left some clinging lacing. Aroma is a nice piney citrus mix. Taste is slightly bitter upfront with a malty backbone. Another really nice beer from Lagunitas!

Poured from a bottle. Pours a dark amber with a thick white foamy head. Light pine and sweet citrus aroma. Full mouth flavor. Smooth sweet malts with a little hop bitterness. Nice smooth finish. Not as bitter as advertised which is good. Nice, refreshing, semi=sweet and smooth finish. Very enjoyable. Not harsh or bitter, but full flavored. Good but not great. tekstr1der (501) - New Hampshire, USA - DEC 13, 2015
Clear copper pour with nicely retained, clingy lacing of off-white top. Aroma is citrus-hoppy with some earthy tones and a bit of malt and booze coming through. Flavor is similar - a nice crisp bite of hop bitter up front, a malty mid-sip, followed by a bit of earthy hop lingering into the aftertaste. The latter being least enjoyable of the show. Not bad, but these guys do other, better brews. ljthiessen (1485) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 30, 2015
On tap at JL Beers, Grand Forks. Deep amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is malty caramel and citrus zest, a little bready. Taste is nicely balanced - sweet bready and caramel maltiness, bright citrus hops with a nice bitterness. furthur (1242) - Eagle River, Alaska, USA - NOV 23, 2015
Growler, deep amber, white head faded, some lace. Aroma is malty and juicy with a hint of spruce. Taste is malty, some juicy tropical fruit, and a lightly hoppy bitter finish. This palate is rich, yet light, somehow, with moderate carbonation.
