COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the worlds would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patricks Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

12 oz bottle. Pours a luminescent red-brown, lots of bubbles and a fizzy of-white foam that laces and fades nicely. Aroma is strongly of bitter pine hops with just a touch of toasty barley and nuts in the nose. First taste is nice, matches the nose but well-balanced, almost smooth in the mid-palate, with caramel sweetness rounding things out before a return to the early pine bitterness in the finish. Another winner from Lagunitas!

Piney, spicy grapefruit aroma. Initially noticed the very viscous smooth body, although its not overly sweet. I wouldnt call this a IIPA, its more carmally, like a red, and the hops while strong do not last that long on the palate. Definetly not a tongue bruiser but there is some balance here. Flavor is sweet resin-pine on the hops. After drinking this for a few minutes I start to wish the hops would last longer, and the beer was balanced a little more towards them, but all in all this is a solid brew, alcohol well hidden.

Id call it a hoppy Imperial Red Ale with good malty sweetness backing strong luscious hop flavors. The feel is smooth and rich. The hop flavors dont strip away the palate, but they still provide a great lasting bitter pine/grapefruit flavor. The beer looks pretty great, medium red-amber liquid with an off-white head and plenty of lacing. A pleasing touch of caramel malt comes through in the aroma, but its mostly floral/pine hops. The malt flavor is stronger than I first thought and very good. I was unaware of the abv when I first tried the beer and would have pegged it two or so percent lower if pressed. Its a very easy drinking strong ale.

Pours deep red/orange with white head, aroma is sweet malt and hops. Taste up front is nice hoppy pine with a big sweet malt presence that finishes fairly bitter. Another good hoppy ale from Lagunitas, hides the alcohol well, but is rather forgettable in taste.

Bottle. Amber clear with decent head. Aroma is spicy and soapy but also musky malt depth. Flavor is fruity and malty caramel and a general funkiness I cannot identify. Has a sweet malty burn to end.

Amber and hazy. Has an off-white head, mostly lasting. Complex aroma, chocolate, hoppyness, faint citrus. Long lasting flavor, sweet and a nice bitter finish.

Suspended hops and stuff in an amber pour with a three finger airy slowly fading off-white head. Aroma is very sweet and hoppy with toffee, caramel, resinous hops and their trademark alcohol. Taste of toffee, citrus, orange, alcohol, light diacetyl. Its just a touch too cloyingly sweet for my likes and finishes with mild bitterness and warming.
