22 ounce bottle shared by cdumler. Thanks! Pours a hazy golden
color with a large white head and great lacing. Big strong
fruits in the aroma with some toffee notes. Taste is very
similar but with fairly assertive citrus hop notes throughout.
Well balanced. Medium bodied. Dogbrick (14326) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 24, 2009
This brew pours a clear copper color with a medium thin bone white head that diminishes to nearly nothing eventually. Thick partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is citrusy and spicy hops. Medium body with flavors of peppery hops, citrus and malt. Notes of pine as well. The finish is hoppy with a lingering zesty citrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall. Red copper ale with a thick light moka head, lacing. Nice herbal c-hops in aroma, with good chunky malt in mouth, welll balanced with floral hops, very grapefruity, and a good dose of candy sugar. Rich bodied, with hops and malt covering the mouth. Bottle from Party Source, Syracuse, August 2006. crossovert (14135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 7, 2012
Heard alot of praise for this one. Just came in locally, bought it out of the cooler, hopefully some of the fresh hop flavors are still there.
It pours a deep reddish amber with a foamy off-white head. Decent lacing.
The smell is sweet and alcoholic, it has a definite kick to it. Caramel and sweetness dominate.
The flavor is robust. Nto for the faint of heart. Big malt notes but also big hop notes. Has a bit of melon and pine form the hops. the sweetness is big and heavy in the aftertaste consisting of caramel and light fruit juice. It isn’t as alcoholic in the taste but it is definitely noticeable.
I would like it to be less sweet but overall not too bad. Lagunitas has done better. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 21, 2006
