We brewed this especially bitter ale in dedication to all the worlds would-be astronauts, in remembrance of the 2005 St. Patricks Day Massacre on the Brewery Party Grounds and also in joyous celebration of our 20-day suspension that following January. Do the crime. Do the time. Get the bragging rights. Cheers!

1- piney, bready sweetness in background, a hint of caramel 2- dark golden to light orange, an off-white rocky head with many fast rising bubbles 3- Huge hop flavor with a high hop bitterness as well, a touch of caramel sweetness as it warms 4- medium body with a medium high carb level, long sticky bitter finish 5- a very enjoyable beer if you are looking for a hop bomb. A beer from Lagunitas never disappoints.

Bottle. Pours clear copper-red with large foamy off-white head, faint caramel aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter slightly salty caramel taste with a bit of an alcohol burn at the end, thin body, medium bitter finish with throat burning alcohol effect at the end. A bit caustic but nice.

Ahhh, another Lagunitas classic, and this one comes with a fairly absurd 9.7ish ABV. Nice bright cloudy amber red color. Taste is almost like Lagunitas IPA crossed with a barleywine; it is very heavy, thick, and malty, but the alcohol is fairly well hidden tastewise (though you wont be able to hide how drunk you might get after a couple of these). This is one that I always look forward to checking out when it seasonally rolls around. Not one of my very favorites from Lagunitas, but since they are probably my fave brewery, it is still really good nonetheless. Good for when youre wearing your kigurumi cause it is insanely cold out and you are dreading daylight savings cause youre gonna lose an hour.

I know the story of the Massacre and this is a fine tribute to a peculiar situation. I bought this is in a sixer and I will enjoy the remaining five. Lifted to a bar beer mug it has a dark copper body and a slim eggshell white head that does lace nicely nonetheless. Not a strong nose, a touch of spruce and some biscuit. The taste is better than that. Hoppy, malty, a hint of sweetness. Strongly bitter all the time. The 9.6% abv is well hidden. This is not Arrogant Bastard good but I find it very fine.

Bottle/Fest. A- Caramel, malty, boring. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Caramel, bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, boring finish. O- I expected an aggressive and bitter beer from Lagunitas. In fact, this didnt have much flavor at all. Quite a bit of caramel and malts with a touch of bitterness. Otherwise pretty bland.

Tap at Jack browns. Light caramel color with ample head and lacing. Light pine aroma with some peach and caramel. Lightly sweet with a moderate bitterness. Creamy.

Pours a rich copper from a bottle, big toffee aroma and flavor, a bit of nondescript fruit. A bit boozy, but not terribly. Pretty good beer.

Pours dark amber with small medium head. Nice sour citrus aroma. Sharp nutty citrus taste carries through to sour citrus aftertaste. Nice strong alcohol, don't see how this could be any better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
