Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dank pine and sweet onion backed by caramel and sweet grains. Flavor has a strong resinous pine supported by onion, strong sweet grains and hint of caramel. hopscotch (11113) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 29, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2017 Draft... Pours clear and golden with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. The aroma is both fruity citrus and resiny notes of pine. Full-bodied and chewy with tingly carbonation. The flavor is big, bold and bittersweet (more bitter than sweet). Pine, grapefruit pith and spicy hops are the stars of the show despite a huge, manly malt backbone. Finishes piny, resiny, bitter and boozy. CObiased (499) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - APR 29, 2017
12oz bottle - this gem pours a clear copper/gold color with a very thin off white head. Really enjoyed the tropical hop aroma, hint of citrus and a whiff of alcohol. Layered flavors of tropical fruit, citrus pith, a hint of floral, cracker like malt and a hint of booze. Very delicious koleminer20 (3599) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - APR 28, 2017
From notes. Enjoyed on draft at Public House with Jeff on the heels of the Public House event. Thanks man! The pour is a darker golden orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes, leaving a nice soapy lace behind. The aroma is full of bitter hops right up front. There is a lightly sweet maltiness creeping in, but then that is offset quickly by a lovely fruitiness. The citrus and bitter zest on this are lovely. The flavor is much of the same. Big hops and fruity bitterness up front with a light maltiness in the middle before the grapefruit and orange come flying back in on the finish. The mouth feel is a little light with a great bright carbonation and a lingeringly bitter citrus zest on the back end. This is a pretty damn good beer, especially for a triple IPA. drowland (8759) - Georgia, USA - APR 27, 2017
4/27/17. 12oz bottle from Publix. Light hazed orange pour under a nice khaki head, mild lacing. Nice aroma, dank, fruity, maybe a booze kick. Lightly sweet caramel and sugar flavor, not too bitter, dank hops, a hint of booze. I did not realize I was buying a 12% beer. Oh well!

Draft. Pours hazy blonde. The palate is thick. The grapefruit and orange and orange zest. Nice earthy bitter. Awesome beer scotchzombie (591) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - APR 25, 2017
Pours clear and golden with a fast-fading white head. Dormant appearance. Aroma is da dank - resinous hops with a hint of citrus. Taste is, well, huge. Sweet caramel malts upfront into hop resin and then a switch is flipped and you've got a lemon-to-grapefruit bitterness explosion. Moderately boozy and despite the hopped finish, sweet and sticky overall. A bit uneven but a memorable brew.

Too sweet. Too friggin’ sweet. I complained earlier about Session IPAs being too malt-free to develop complexity, but holy hell am I growing a new respect for their restraint. Waldo may be hopped all to hell and back, but the malt-forward cloying corn-laced booze sweetness overpowers everything with this beer. Ever wonder what a pale barleywine might taste like? Here’s your answer, and it’s not good. Big grapefruit-lemon hops slathered on toast covered in Karo syrup. Boozy, burny finish. 11.9% shouldn’t be too big, but I can’t drink this thing. Aaargh. ajnepple (6625) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 24, 2017
12 oz single bottle shared. Clear golden appearance with a white head. Aroma of dank/resinous hops, toasted malt, light herbal/floral notes and a hint of garlic. Similar flavor, adding moderate bitterness and a mild malt sweetness. Medium to full body with a smooth feel and a balanced finish. Pretty clean and easy to drink for ~12%. tedovertu (297) - Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA - APR 23, 2017
Very strong. The high alcohol offsets the citrus balance. Definitely some major dankiness. Good lacing with a small amount of head. Would not drink more than one at a time.
