4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Oh my goodness! Menu says 9.2% (website says 10.5%) and tapped today at 6pm - on tap from Tap25 in Livermore. Pours deep orange, a little cloudy, nice white head that eventually disappears. Smells of pine, overpowering sweet citrus and tastes of earthy, orange/grapefruit, even hops/mary jane (wait...420 is in the title?). Malt is there but hops really stand out. Big, bold, dank, resinous, and sweet...is this the best Lagunitas beer since Sucks? Yep. Great DIPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Pours golden orange with a white head. Oily citric hops, moderate bitterness, a little generic fruity sweetness, and mild boozy notes. Pretty good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear gold, with a bit of white head. Tastes of sweet floral hops, and it’s bitter and alcoholic enough that it’s not cloying. This may be the last Heineken I ever have $2/12oz

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of fresh pine. Nice orange color with a thin off white head. Sweet caramel up front, quickly covered by piney bitterness and alcohol burn. Bitterness intensifies on the finish. Not much else going on. Slick mouth feel and a warm echo down the throt from the alcohol.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A quality double IPA....Flavor is on the sweet side but the boozy finish and slight bitterness detracts from the overall quality of this brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle, shared by Scott. Pours clear yellow, with a small, off-white head. The nose is caramel, mellow pine and floral notes, and white bread. Sweet and sugary, with a smooth and assertive bitterness. Medium body, crisp and smooth, with a fairly clean finish. This is a solid, well made, and tasty IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is caramelized marmalade, pine resin. Taste is a big malty marmalade hop bomb you expect from Lagunitas. A little on the sweet side but oh so chewy and marmalade-y.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of floral, bitter, and grapefruity hops, pale and sweet malts, hints of EtOH, and some dough. Flavor the same. Thicker texture. This beer would have been really sweet about 10 years ago, but seriously, get with the times - no one wants this style anymore.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle. Brassy gold color topped by a small bubbly white head. Toasted malt and fruity hops in nose. A bit like mango chutney. First sip is tropical fruit. Mango, guava, apple and persimmon. Then the alcohol takes over. Big and boozy. Warming in the chest stays long. Finish has tropical fruit hops and chewy caramel. Make no mistake, this is a big beer. It could be a barleywine if not for the huge hop bill. Long dry bitter aftertaste.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Gold pour with white head. Aroma is oranges and fruitiness. Flavor is sweet malt start with the same orange zest and some tropical fruit. Medium body with a solid bitter finish. I attribute the dry finish to the abv warmth. Solid all round.
