According to Lagunitas this beer is "A big Ol Imperial Brown Ale to help you with your slipperly slide on into springtime. Rich, smooth, dangerous & chocolatey". Its a good brew. A - Rich, deep, opaque brown color with tan frothy head that lasted only few minutes. S - A rather mild aroma hints of caramel malts and citrus hoppiness...pleasant aroma. I didnt really get any chocolate though. T - Tastes like it smells... Caramel comes through nicely, citrus hoppiness...faint chocolate. Something kinda spicy at the end...nice though. M - medium in body D - refreshing and damn drinkable...especially at $4.50/pint Serving type: on-tap

Nice giant brown ale, big on dark malt goodness, possibly even bigger on the piney, resinous hops. Giant doses of chocolate-laced caramel are backed up by the slightest hint of Lagunitas orange marmalade hops, underscored by a slight red apple yeastiness that helps balance out the clingy, IBU-flinging finish. Modest notes of dried apricot and raisin lie way, way underneath all the crazy malting, but mostly this beers like sipping a candybar pinecone milkshake. Okay, not really, but its still pretty damn good.

Riktigt trevlig!

The aroma starts leathery and a touch burnt, but quickly reveals a potent burnt sugar. Its a deep brown and red looking body, topped by a soft foamy, tan head. The palate is mostly sweet, balanced by a roasted bitterness with mostly caramel, chocolate, and a roasted coffee quality on the tongue with a bit of herbal and a dry finish.

This is fantastic. This is definitely a big ol imperial brown ale. Its an absolute malt and coffee bomb and its 100% delicious. Its has a huge brown sugar aroma which is amazing, and a nice roasty maltiness that just dominates. Its super sweet, super tasty and just an overall malt bomb, but in a good way. Its how I would want malt to be presented in a beer. I love how lagunitas pumps out these beers that are so delicious, but so reasonably priced. It blows my mind. Just another testament to how awesome they are. Cheers! Pick up this malt monster now.

Mrk brun klar med hyt beige skum. Lukter ntter, brent karamell og humlelukt mot grapefrukt. Balansert, kjenner malten og humlen godt. Grapefrukt, ntter, brent karamell og sitrus. Middels lang.
