COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our friends over at Kentuckys own Willett Distillery have one kind of barrel: wood. And they put two things in them: Bourbon and Rye. We were fortunate enough to get some of their Bourbon barrels, and we put our Imperial Stout in them. Its a chocolatey, coffee-y, smoky, Bourbon-y beast of a barrel-aged thing. Word.

Beer Junction, Seattle. Creamy, lingering mocha foam. Darkest brown-black. Spicy, dark roast with good alc spice. Dark chocolate is fantastic, barrel is present but is only a supporting character. Moderate cream to body holds up the alc, spice and dark richness well.

Terrific coffee nose. Chocolate, fire pit, leather and coffee on the palate. Lacking the spice of the high west-ified. Still, complex and rich, with a subtle hop element that livens up the big and hearty stout with some citrus and coffee fruit notes.

Pours a jet black color with a boozy vanilla aroma. Taste is high alcohol upfront with a chocolate and dark malt finish. Beer became more flavorful as it warmed. Notes of coffee and roast in the aftertaste. The boozyness of the beer is evident throughout.
