A simple malty best bitter aroma. Soft palate, carbonation low. Very soft, in fact. Slight nuttiness in the taste. A very simple best, very 1980s style, reminds me of simpler days.
On tap (as Laines Best) at the North Laine Brewpub, Brighton on 16th September 2013. Copper with thin off-white part-lacing head. Sweet caramel aroma. Fruity berries in-mouth with tangy citrus. Fruit and caramel-malt in finish, on a zingy mouthfeel and a light to medium body. robbgg (36) - Derbyshire, ENGLAND - JUL 6, 2013
Tried as Laines Best. Conventional bitter in appearance. Unpleasant lactic aroma, very bland taste. Not worth trying.
