Draft at Angleterre, Helsinki. Pours amber with small white head. Aroma is malt and slight smoke. Flavor is malt, sugar, slight smoke. Too much carbonation and a very bitter finish (Rated 2011/04/21) FatPhil (17079) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 19, 2011

5 Slightly pulsy aroma, only a touch of smoke.
4 Deep red, brief head.
6 Pleasant rich malty taste, slight dark fruit sourness.
4 Rye only really comes through 10s after you swallow, and then the finish fills out beautifully, tons of rye, and decent smokiness..
13 So much a read-loaded beer. The aroma didn’t sell this at all, but the finish is lovely.

Clear copper brown color, small beige head. Light sweetish, smokey aroma. Crisp carbonation. Light to medium bodied. Sweetish caramel malty backbone, Bamberg-style smokey malts and ham in the flavor. Quite short finish, some hops there. Ok clean rauchbier, can’t trace much rye here.
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2011 Had this in a local pub. Reddish brown colour. Smoked malts, herbal hops and fruit. Bitter taste too. Rune (13508) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 14, 2011
Half from keg at Kitty’s Public House. Creamy, tiny white head. Nice, golden-brown body, very clear. Aroma of mid-sweet malts along with a toned down smokey touch. Subdued taste of smoked malts. Dry on the swallow with hints of bitterness (pub crawl in Helsinki, 06.02.2011).

Poured amber in colour with off-white head. Aroma is earthy, slightly smoked. Light bitter taste. mjs (7685) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 30, 2011
(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had tar, rye porridge and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, malts, tar, smoke, rye porridge, metallicness, hops and bitterness. Afrtertastr was malty, smoky, salty and bitter. I found the flavours and the scents too mild and smooth for this type of beer. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 28, 2011
Dark red brown colored with little light brown head. Sweet and medium smoked aroma with some grainy tone. Medium bodied, smooth palate. Flavor is richer with same grains dominating, smoke here nicely as well. Decent and straightforward smoked. rosenbergh (11799) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 25, 2011

Cloudy amber colour with small off-white head.
Mildish smokey malty aroma.
Smoke, harsh bitter hops, malt and rye in flavour.
Quite fizzy. Dry hoppy aftertaste.
Dark amber beer with a frothy pale head. Smoky nose, rye bread and and a hint of licorice. Juicy maltiness, sweetish rye bread, some roastedness and a hint of diacetyl. Bitterish finish, light salinity and some spiciness of rye. Medium body, smooth texture but slightly harsh finish.
