Canned (from K Citymarket Kivihaka Vaasa). Along with fosters radler with grapefruit this was up to getting to be my #1000 Finnish tick, as Rami is a nice chap. Anyhow, over to the rating. The colour was surprisingly orange to what I expected. There was a good firm mediumsized head too. Aroma was pretty much a clean hefeweizen, actually without the thing I’d call house aroma for the brewery. Flavour was refreshing wheat, citrus and some herbal notes, but also had some other elements I wasn’t too fond of. The old Vehnäinen was more for my taste, even though this one probably will get the masses better. This was clean and quite "basic" as such. I still do enjoy my hefeweizens with a twist (whatever twist it may be, hefeweizens are usually hit’n’miss for me). This was in between though. Good for the cleanliness, but I had expected something more.

omhper (25744) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 19, 2015
Canned, from supermarket in Vaasa. Lightly hazy pale golden, minimal head. Late autumn leaves and banana up front. Sweetish with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Baking yeast, crackers and banana. Low bitterness. A bit lifeless.

Beerhunter111 (22513) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAY 22, 2014
Can from rosenbergh, many thanks! Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlicher grobporiger Schaumkrone. Geruch würzig, leicht hefig. Geschmack leicht hefig, metallisch, würzig, leicht fruchtig.

Can 50cl (S-Market, Pori)
Hazy yellow color, small mostly vanishing white head. Aroma has bubblegum and banana. Light-bodied. Quite faint banana flavors, light citrus acidity. Crisp and refreshing with more attractive palate than competitor’s new hefeweizen (Olvi) has. Not outstanding but tolerable for this ABV.

500ml bottle (S-Market, Helsinki)
Dusty, burnt ashtray, dirty aroma. Hazy pale orange, brief head. Watery, but still dirty and rough. Pretty nasty papery body. Fairly poor hefe. Both watery and rough. Finish dirty. Not a good hefe at all. Did not like. In particular, as I had to act as dustbin, because Anna didn’t want the rest of her portion.

Benzai (16687) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 20, 2014
Can shared @ DTE tasting. Hazy pale yellow color, small quickly diminishing white head. Smell wheat and banana. Tastes about the same, a bit watery, lightly banana, wheat. Low to average body, average carbonation.

MiP (15973) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 28, 2014
Can, 4.7%. Rough aroma, more citrus than banana. Cloudy yellow colour. Big semi-stable white head. The flavour is wheaty, ok dusty. Does not have much banana, but ok, I guess.

kermis (14553) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 20, 2014
Bottle shared at the DTE tasting thanks to Benzai. Pours hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma of wheat, banana yeast and sickly aspects. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

bierkoning (13689) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 20, 2014
Can. Blonde, hazy. Metal and hints of banana in the aroma. Thin. Banana and citrus flavor. Hint of rubber in the finish. Decent.

Rune (13507) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 23, 2014
500ml can, thanks to djoeye for sharing. Pours a huge, chalk white head to a pale golden body with a solid wheat haze. Lacing rings down the glass. Sweet wheat and sweet spiced fruity nose. Wheat, ripe banana, dough and mild spices to the taste buds. Sweet fruity endnoes. Thin to medium bodied. Below par for the style (Tromsø 19.05.2014).
