3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a reddish amber with nice white foam. Minimal aroma. Taste is malty and bitter. Some citrus come through in the middle but the bitterness is aggressively present through the finish. Ok but a little unbalanced.
More beer please...
Really surprised this isn’t rated higher. I am thinking people are expecting a IIPA instead of an imperial pale ale. Solid hop profile with a good caramel malt backbone. Well done beer. kaser (6382) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Draft pour at Rugans. Copper. Carmel and malty flavor. Not very pleasant. Hoppy and slight bitter. jeremytoni (3083) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - MAR 26, 2014
From the tap poured a copper color with a fair amount of head. Nice hoppy flavor with a quick finish. Mittenator (1612) - Michigan, USA - SEP 28, 2013
Draft at the brewery. Hazy gold with a tan head. Light, sweet aroma. Well balanced with some grapefruit. wedgie9 (2703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 15, 2012
Tasted on draft at the brewpub on 8/25/11. Pours cloudy burnt orange with an average off-white head that slowly recedes to uneven lace. The nose is full of resin and citrus bitter hops with a bit of lightly bready malt backing everything up. The flavor is resin and citrus hops bitter with the same bread malt acting as a backbone. The body is medium but sticky with average carbonation and a long bitter resin finish. crossovert (13909) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 10, 2012
I guess im not really sure what the point of this brew is. A double Pale Ale? It is okay but nothign special.
