12oz bottle acquired in trade with Brigadier (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Lots of small floaters. Aromas of spices (cloves, peppers and more), citrus, bananas, and general fruitiness. Tastes of spices, citrus, graininess, and lighter fruitiness. Thinner body. A witbier more than a saison, yeast and wheat aroma. Great sourness. Creamy smooth mouthfeel to compensate. My first Lake Louis. Thanks JPM30. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - FEB 5, 2009
light gold pour. white head. aroma of lemon meringue pie, tangerine peels and granny smith apples. flavor is full of lemon, orange, coriander and wheat. Flavors are a bit over the top, but it still is a pretty tasty beer. A bit much on the carbonation as well.

hazy pale yellow, whispy white head, light sweet banana and clove aroma, light and mild yet a touch of flavor
Aroma: 4/10; Appearance: 3/10; Flavor: 5/10; Palate: 5/10; Overall: 10/20
2010-04-05. Crisp yellow body with a nice creamy white head. 3+ Aroma is lightly floral and grassy with a healthy dose of spice, coriander? Flavour is similar, light grassy hops precede a pleasant but dominant spice character, light fruity touches, dry grassy undertones in the finish. Average palate borders on light at times. Interesting, pleasant. Spice character is the core feature, but it is enjoyable. Bottle courtesy of Brigadier. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 4, 2006
Any first impressions?mabel (9245) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2010
-A pale hay haze benefits from a sturdy veil of foam.
-Cheesy hoppiness (aged?) and multifarious ginger are linked by a milky pond.
-Straw maltiness and herbal hops are ably balanced into an authentic Belgian mold.
-A valiantly Belgian mouthfeel offers a plump maltiness which remains drinkable due to its vivavious but never aggressive carbonation.
What if you dig deeper?
-Delicate herbal hop bitterness adequately follows a minty, spicy hop flavor.
-The citrusy ginger apport isn’t too spicy, and moreover well-leveled with the rest of the beer.
-Liquefied summer is always a pleasure.
Bottle; no date.
[2826-20100405] 12floz bottle. Belgian yeasty poop aroma with earth hints (this is coriander?). Slightly hazy, light straw yellow body with a medium-lasting small foamy white head. Zippy lemon zest yeast flavour with a quick bite and lingering citrus. Medium body. Interesting, did not like the smell at first but tastes fine.

Saison or Wit Beer? Closer to wit. Light and fruity somewhat. Nice citrus after taste. Not bad, but not saison. Bought at Steve’s in Madison.
