Pours a deep ruby with a half finger of tan head that sticks. Aromas are overwhelmingly of dark fruits, mainly grapes and cherries, along with some caramel in the background. Taste is this same maltiness all the way down. Rich and creamy mouthfeel, drinks bigger than 7.2%. This is one of the best Scottish Ales I’ve ever had.

Nice, deep, amber color. Rich malty taste with lots of hoppy flavors. A great American twist on Scottish dark ales.

Dark, cloudy brown with a thick tan head.
Raisin, caramel, dry grass scent.
Taste is caramel malt, wood, raisin.
Nice, slightly bitter malts....

bottle to pint glass. poured a mahogany red color with off white head. slight lacing on the glass. the aroma is lightly roasted malts, caramel, slight toffee, the flavor is more of the same. this is a basic straight up scotch ale nothing fancy just a middle of the road solid flavor of a scotch ale. nice caramel sweet malt flavor tinges of toffee and slightly roasted malts. very drinkable and delicious. From the bottle of the pour is clear and is very dark auburn in color, the head is an off white almost brown that lingers at a medium thickness, the aroma is very light scotch malts a little bit of barley, the taste is Carmel with some roasted barley notes, the finish is smooth creamy with a medium to thick mouthfeel
