COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pours with dark amber, burnt orange, copper colour and off-white, ecru-coloured foam. The aromatics are primarily citrus (grapefruit) with a subtle pine note. After the first scent, the malt aromatics come through – slight hint of toffee with some mild aromas of hay and straw. The body of the beer is roasted malts, dark toffee, a gentle molasses flavour and a touch of black licorice. The mouth feel is rounded and very dry. The finish is moderate-to-bold bitterness that lingers longer but is very pleasant. The finish is enveloping and builds with each sip.

October 6, 2012 ; 6% abv, 750 mL bottle, BBD Oct 29/12; rock glass Citrus hops dominate. Pours a caramel colour with a nice tan head. Good looking beer. Balanced caramel malts with grapefruit citrus hops. Resin finish is lingering. A little thin in the body but overall, clean character. Highly drinkable, which isn’t a great thing for an IPA (I think). Resin bitterness is a bit too powerful.

Has a nice size frothy egg-shell coloured head and has a deep amber/coppery appearance. Fairly weak lacing. Mild subtle aromas of roasted malts, light nutty malts as well. A bit toasty too with some notes of earthy hops. Mild citrus hops, some spices but not too much, sweet bready malts. Some hints of caramel and even a bit of toffee. Pretty smooth, creamy wet mouthfeel. lively carbonation. Medium bodied. Really smooth and not bitter at all compared to many other IPA’s. Perfect for someone not into super hoppy bitterness.

Good ale with hoppy taste and a very smooth finish. Got from a can from LCBO and would definitely buy this again.

ChadPoole (479) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 12, 2016
Pours amber with a decent head that leaves some lacing. Nose is grapefruit and pine. Flavour is malts and a bit of citrus, but watered down. Had potential but didn’t deliver.

Kauge (2126) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 11, 2016
Can from LCBO. Dark amber. Caramelly and toffee-y overall character with resiny bitterness. A bit rough, not too well rounded. Not very keen on this.
