GregClow's rating

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20

Can from the LCBO. Golden-copper with a small head. Pleasant aroma - caramel and orange candy up front, back notes of pine and mixed citrus peel. Flavour follows the aroma to start, but moves more towards the bitter citrus notes as it warms up. Definitely has a more prominent hops character than the 10 Point IPA that it’s replacing in the line-up, but still balanced as well. Not bad.

can that pours hazy fairly dark golden, orange to red tint, with a rather large off-white head offering some retention and lacing. sweet and spicy orange fruitiness, peppery apple sauce, caramelized berry sugars without any caramel per se, tons of spicy piney and resinous hops, obnoxious resin in fact, many signs of oxidation, fruity and kind of dirty yeast action. moderate and slightly foamy carbonation, light body - oily; semi-sweet, bland, almost assertive medium if not eternal piney-resinous finish. oldschool and poor ipa rendition. massive drain pour.

BrewWhatIWant (324) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 25, 2018
Pours a hazy amber orange with a decent offwhite head. Aroma is hoppy. Taste is slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Body is light to medium and carbonation is moderate. If there was a Bud Light Hop it would taste like this.

Strangebrewer (1385) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2018
can. Poured hazy medium amber with a dense off-white head. Bold earthy hop aroma. Medium-heavy body, creamy carbonation, sticky tart mouthfeel. Caramel malts accompanied by fresh herbal hops, flavours of bitter grapefruit, sweet apricot and toffee notes, a touch of pepper and a bit buttery. A solid IPA.

Gluepot (775) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 6, 2018
bready caramel malt with solid fruit hoppiness on the nose. Taste hits the same blend - a dense sweet, dark malt profile with citrus pulp and rind hops over top. Tasty with a solid IPA bite.

JoeMcPhee (10185) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 1, 2018
Pale amber pour. The nose is bright and citrusy with some more stone fruit character through the middle. A bit of light sweetness and some berry character as well. Pale malt, light sweetness and a bit of bitterness. There's some apricot and a bit of lingering bitterness. Pretty nice but I like the pale ale better.

2017-12-18. Crisp golden orange body, modest beige head. 3+ Aroma has sweet malty base, whispers of vanilla. Flavour is fairly bitter, malty base. verage bodied palate, good carbonation. Ok. 6/3/6/3/13-14 Can from the LCBO, Toronto.

Ferris (17766) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 17, 2017
Can - Light sweet buttering hops. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Light bitterness and a touch of sweetness. Nothing special.

thorongil2 (3630) - , Ontario, CANADA - DEC 1, 2017
(Can) hazy, bright orange colour with a medium tall cream head; aroma of tropical fruit, creamy palate; balanced, pleasant if simple flavour with a long, light bitter finish

JaBier (8445) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - NOV 15, 2017
Can from a friend. Clear amber pour with a huge white head. Aroma of malt, pine, grass and grapefruit. Sweet malt and pine flavor with a grapefruit finish.
