Pours a dark ruby colour with an off-white head. Aroma is of corn and caramel. The flavour is harsh and off. This isnt nice.

Tasting at Matts, can
Amber color, poor head. Grain aroma, not good. But this beer achieves phenomenal results with the flavor, grains bag, caramel, a bit sour, skunky.
Seriously bad.

Oakes (17131) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 6, 2016
Dark brown-red colour. Not much head. Nothing but thin grains on the aroma. The taste is sort of this innocuous bland vaguely malty nonsense. Even by the standards of generic red ale, this is a waste of time.

500mL can, pours a dark red with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out sweet cereal malts, bready notes and a touch of sweet caramel. Flavour is quite nasty, with sickly sweet medicinal notes, vegetal notes, and bready malt. This is really terrible. What the fuck were they thinking? Disgusting.

Can from Loblaws. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of brown sugar and stewed tea. Flavour of metal, caramel and wood. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Nice balance and drinkability.

UXO (1874) - CANADA - MAY 19, 2016
Appearance: clear red-tinged deep amber with one fat finger of fine ivory head, good retention and patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: caramel malt, grassy and earthy hops, wood and light smoke. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, medium duration mildly bitter and lightly smoky finish. (3/5) Sorry, but I find it really hard to get excited about yet another middle-of-the road amber, distinguished only by the roasty malt tones coming through as slight smoke. Fair enough, that slight smokiness adds some depth, but its hard to call it complexity (and Im not entirely sure its deliberate). A reasonably well-executed but ultimately boring beer. (12/20)

341 ml bottle. Pours a clear light red with a small off white head. Aromas are sweet caramel and bready malts. Tastes are molasses and roastiness. Light carbonation, medium body, with an acidic bite that stretches out a while. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
