Well, I ain’t even gonna be shy about it, I loved this beer. It has a pretty shitty rating but I loved it. I am still curious as to why ’Red Ale" is not a style and must be classified as an Amber when it clearly stands apart. Firstly, this brew is a pretty redhead, a rusted gold with a long lasting head. A wonderful bouquet of burnt toffee, barnyard, fresh bread and buckwheat honey awaits the nose. It is quite sweet and very malty, exactly how I like my reds unless they claim to be Red IPAs or some such hoppy style. Not too bubbly and smoothness like silk make it a pleasure to drink. I’d raise this pint any day.
On Tap at Loose Moose in Toronto. Dark dark red pour with some swirls of color. Super malty aroma and flavor. Rich earthy caramel and warming spiciness. Sharpness to the body and finish. Good stuff and something I would seek out in future cold weather. mkel07 (6546) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 10, 2017
Can from LCBO Strathroy on 6 October 2017. First beer from this brewery and it was a cracker. Not only is it a great looking can but the contents are great as well. Strong malty aroma and a similar flavour with some chocolate in the background. Long malty finish that seems to go on and on.

Smooth light amber ale that is very palatable but with a bitter harsh finish. Not bad. AleRider78 (1500) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 6, 2017
Picked up a tallboy from the brewery. Pours a fairly large frothy off-white head and has an amber appearance. Lots of dirty lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas sweet and toasty malts. Flavours are bready, toasty and caramel malts. Also some earthy hop notes. Smooth and slick mouthfeel. BrewWhatIWant (323) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 15, 2017
Pours deep red. Aroma is fruity. Taste is a little sweet, a little sour and a little bitter. There are notes of cherries, nutty malt, a touch of caramel and burnt toast. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A pretty decent amber ale. The sour cherry really adds a lot to it.

Red copper ale with a hint a robust taste. It has a roasted cherry flavor mixed with chocolate. A frothy head and a medium bodied beer. An enjoyable experience. mnurda (1305) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUN 5, 2017
Canned sample from MLCC...Pours deep copper colour. Malty with a bit of chocolate. Small hop flavour. Great red ale. MarkoTheSpud (7) - - MAY 22, 2017 does not count
Very good red ale. Can was clever so I bought it. My dad likes reds so I got it for him. We like it. Nice bittery and malty taste.

Chocolate lovers get down on this. Possibly the best red ale on the market. If you like ale; are Canadian; and you go back to Ricakrd’s; you have no soul. omhper (25949) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 8, 2017
Canned. Clear copper colour, mid sized head. Leafy toasty nose. Mid dry with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Toffee, toast and notes of dates. Floral, leafy hops. MId bitter finish. Uncomplicated and easy going.
