COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Celebrating the early Spring flowing of sap in Ontario’s maple trees, the 7% ABV ale is brewed with Belgian yeast, sweet malt, Noble hops and Ontario maple syrup. Notes of maple, hazelnut, vanilla and caramel compliment the amber hue, alongside aromas of cherry and spice. Caramelized apples and nutmeg are apparent in the finish.

Draught at Bar Hop. Clear gold with a lasting two finger fluffy white head. Sweet aroma, candy ish; taste is surprisingly and a bit unpleasantly boozy, but other than that this is sweet, lightly grainy and drinkable. Light body, mild carbonation and quick-finishing - a little harsh in the booziness, not much maple.

Honey colour with thin head. Sweet malts, maple, corn, and hops in the nose. Tastes like malt, corn, grain, and some maple syrup. Too sticky and syrupy for my liking. Needs refinement.

Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 22, 2016
Veiled maple color with dense activity. Slightly creamy beige 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with faint lacing. Flavors of maple, caramel candies, wheat, sweet grains, banana yeast, floral and leafy herbal spices. Thick syrupy feel, highly sugary, with soft hops. Thick oily medium body with faint carbonation. Medium strength finish, lingering peppercorn, vanilla, with syrupy sweet grains and maple. Too oily, a little flat, boozy, and lacking some freshness. Feels like mead, minimal Belgian feel, but it gets better while it warms. The flavors are good, while too sugary. Overall above average quality craft.

Pours light gold with a white head that laces the glass. Sweet malt and maple aroma. Sweet and grainy with a bit of bitter and smoked maple. The maple doesn’t taste like fresh maple.

Où, Quand, Comment : Bouteille, dégustée le 7/3/2013.
Visuel : Couleur : dorée. Apparence : claire.

Lacks the complexity of a great Belgian ale but the maple syrup adds a unique but not overpowering twist.

Light golden yellow body, white head, not much retention, some lacing. Startling sweet corn syrup aroma, intense aroma of sweet breakfast cereal milk, vanilla. I wasn’t sure at first, but I think I like it. Taste is also sweet, thought not as alarming as the aroma, has a touch of citrus. I don’t really get much maple from this, though lots of sweet candy and malts. Unusual, not 100% successful, but works on some level. I’d rather have this (which may be unbalanced and over the top) than some beer that wasn’t even trying to have flavour.

Sampled at flatlanders beer festival. Sweet corn corn syrup and maple aromas. The maple is almost totally lost in the flavours though. Bitter and hoppy. Almost like they used maple extract in this for the aroma..meh.

750ml bottle. Clear golden body, small white head with poor retention. Aroma of grains, hay, herbs, honey, traces of maple syrup. Taste is on the sweet side: honey, malt, caramel, some medicinal notes. Meh.
