I have been drinking a lot of this during this hockey season. What better beer goes with hockey then the NHL Alumni’s official beer.

16 ounce can into lager glass, no can dating. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of cracker, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Very clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/creamy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very solid pale lager. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and easy to drink. Met all of my expectations. Clean and flavorful pils malts, with just enough earthy hops to balance the body and sweetness. A fairly enjoyable offering.

Nobody’s business, solid pale lager. Pours a clear dark yellow with little white top. Aroma is grains and noble hops. Taste is clean cereal grains and a small noble hop bitterness. Solid beer.

Single can at the LCBO. Pours a clean golden colour with a big frothy white head, very good retention and lots of soapy lacing. Pilsner smelling nose with the Euro hops over the cereal malts. Hints of adjunct. The taste is pretty grainy with some light grass in the finish. Notes of biscuits and kind of floral. Quite a decent plain lager that is definitely not a macro brewed one.

473ml can from the lcbo. Clear golden pour, big, fluffy, sticky head. Nice pils malt aroma, good cereals, a touch of sweet butter (diacetyl) but it does not detract too much from the beer. Some nice floral hops, lightly bitter finish. Nothing mind shatering, but they nailed what they were aiming for.

473 mL can. Pours golden with a nice white head that leaves no trace. Cereal and biscuit grain flavor with a hint of toffee. Subtly sweet with a hint of hop bitterness. Full on the palate with a round mouth feel and moderate carbonation. Reminds me more of a Vienna lager than an American one. Not bad at all.

Lake of Bays doing what they do best: making the world yet another lager & keeping hops out of the equation. Snarkyness aside this is actually decent. It’s well balanced, refreshing & crisp. I’m impressed. We need another lager on my LCBO shelf like my mayor needs another hit on the crack pipe, but this is good.

can. Poured clear gold with a frothy but quick bleach white head. Light corn mash aroma. Creamy mouthfeel with a light dryness. Bready malt flavour, sweet beer with just a touch of herbal hops. A nice drinkable lager.

Brown pour, a nice grassy earthy hoppy beer, pretty clean and crisp beer, nice offering.
