UPDATED: APR 22, 2017 What I’m rating is not the same beer as this bottled beer, but this seems like the closest entry on ratebeer. What I had was called CJ"s Honey Rye Ale and it has 7.3 percent alcohol and 44 IBU. I had it on tap at brewery in Lake Placid, New York. Pours clear orange-amber. Aroma: Very faint malt, nothing else. Flavor: toffee, honey, peppery rye, white pepper. Mouthfeel: Full-bodied, rich, savory, and very tasty. generallee08 (772) - New York, USA - JUL 15, 2014
The body has a rich golden honey color with good clarity. A nice tall beige head caps the beer and makes nice lacing as it slowly settles. The aroma is quite light. I only pick up a slight malty sweetness with an even lighter hint of herbal hops. There is defiantly some nice medium bodied bready malt which has some mild honey sweetness up front. Mellow herbal hops and light rye notes mix in well with the malt and light herbal bitterness late into the finish. Overall there is still some residual sweetness left in the finish. On tap at the brewery in Lake Placid with Patty. Pours a clear orange gold with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of honeysicle, faint malt and barley. Taste of light honey, faint malts and barley. Claymeister (74) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 1, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with thin white head. Mild aroma with a hint of honey and rye. Weak body, a little on the watery side. Not much to this beer. Just ok. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 31, 2012
on tap–pours hazy amber with a tight offwhite head and heavy lacing. Aroma is soft medium malt-roasty, some spice. Taste is honey, medium malt-roasty, some spice hops. Don’t know if this is a different beer than when bottled, but something changes based on previous bottled ratings and what I was enjoying.

12oz bottle in a tumbler. Pours amber with a lacy, light beige head. Aroma of spicy rye, some caramel malts, and a little floral/citrusy hops. The hops could be stronger, but the rye goes well in this beer. Average texture. A decent beer. Radek Kliber (7352) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUN 26, 2012
Bottle 355ml Ungstrup (37560) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 6, 2011
Aroma sweet, deep grainy malty feel. Sweet softness of honey. Nice. 7-.
Appearance good deep golden look with medium top.
Flavor and Palate : Medium bodied with medium plus carbonation. Sweet side with lighter hop flavour behind. Nicely composed. Easy going refreshing brew. Hint of rye can only help.
Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of perfumy hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and perfumy hops, leading to a bitter finish. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 21, 2011
Tastes and smells like a big produced beer. Honey? Nope, rye? Barely. Hops? Nope, just a touch of bittering. the rest is sweet murky malts, sweet and cheap. keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JUN 28, 2011
A very mild floral aroma from an amber pour. The flavor was sweet and malty. No hint of rye. Thin feel, watery. The finish was dry. Average at best.
