POurs almost red brown with a nice sized head. The aromas show fruit and caramel. The palate rings out the toasted sweetnes from the density of the malts. stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 30, 2007
Bottle sampled. Pours amber/brown almost completely opague, with an average size off-white head. Aroma of dark fruit, toasted caramel malts, sweetness. The flavor is sweet, toasted caramel, dark fruit, and toffee. Good body, good brew. [ MrBendo (1064) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - APR 13, 2007
Thanks to Scubatrip for the bottle. Pours deep, cloudy brown with a medium head. Spare lacing. Aroma of toasted grains and sweet dates. Taste is very fruity; figs and other dark fruits plus toffee. Ambrose (141) - East Aurora, New York, USA - APR 4, 2007
Real sweet. real good.
Sit boy sit! Good beer. Another syracuse tap favorite. UBU! When all else fails. Ubu to the rescue. NJBeerman013 (1054) - Hamilton Twp., New Jersey, USA - FEB 11, 2007
Bottle after bottle. One of the more unique ales I have ever had. Pours a deep red in color with a foamy beighe head. The flavoor is of fresh fruits. I would almost say juicy. Finishes strong with a big malty alcohol flavor. Superb.

Ubu is a cloudly red-brown with large particles in the bottom and an off-white head up top. The aroma here is sweet cookies, cereal, light flowers and pear. The carbonation feels pretty lively. There is a good balance between sweet, sour and bitter here. The finish is a little chalky. coldbrewky (1730) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - JAN 24, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2008 Bottle: Pours a deep amber brown. Little to no head has a mild hop nose with an initial grapefruity tinglyness. Full bodied. Ripe fruit are mellowed by all the malt. Aftertaste is sour cherry and lingering. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 20, 2007
on tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Smooth drinking brown ale. Malty, slight chocolate. Seemed to be better a couple of years ago though. AdamSkillin (376) - High Bridge, New Jersey, USA - JAN 16, 2007
A nice browner brown ale, just enough bitterness to even it out, and a slight hint of chocolate maltiness Jine (903) - Nutley, New Jersey, USA - JAN 16, 2007
Bottle shared with adamskillin. Decent strong ale. Little bit of bitter, little bit of malt. Goes down nicely.
