Very well retained with nice, creamy, thick lacing. Chocolatey aroma with notes of cashews, chocolate chip cookie dough and dark breads. The flavor, although well-balanced and well-bittered, is a bit of a let down. Smells better than it tastes. Light to medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. UPDATED: MAY 12, 2013 2013-04-30. Crisp red brown body small beige head. Aroma is sweet and malty, lightly caramel. Flavour is pleasantly malty, sweetish, caramel touches, drier malt accents, light bitterness balances and lingers in the finish. Average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. 2004-12-XX. Dark brown body with a small white film of a head. Aroma is sweetly malty with notes of burnt brown sugar. Flavour is vaguely Belgian with sweet malt and esters. perplexing dry bitterness in the finish is distractingly alcoholic. Pleasant fruity notes throughout, average palate. Interesting. Draught at the New York Wine and Culinary Center. Dark brown with a winey red glow. Big nose of toffee, coffee, chocolate; rich and fragrant, with a big of dried fruits. Chocolate, coffee flavor, bitter and well roasted with rather light body and a big, bitter finish. Very pleasant.

Tap at Hop Devil Grill. Deep ruby colour, thick creamy white head. Aroma is malty and slightly toasty. Light cherry fruitiness on the nose. Warming brings out a touch of bubble gum as well. Toffee and caramel malt with a soft earthiness. A bit of molasses and earthiness. Simple, but tasty winter warmer.
