Pours cola black with tan head. Scent is coffee with some nutty components. Taste is chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Finish is very crisp and abrupt. Body is medium and smooth. Easy drinking beer for a stout. Nothing incredible in the taste but good nonetheless. commonmac (1370) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 30, 2016
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2016 Tap at the source in Duluth. Pint glass pour in nitro. Cola brown with a healthy tan head. Nice lacing. Nose is assertive coffee with a chocolate undertone. Taste is mild but leans on its coffee tendencies. Some sweetness definitely comes through. Silky smooth mouthfeel like a glass of thick chocolate milk. Lasting bitterness at the end but not to its detriment. It?s pretty good but nothing all that special. muzzlehatch (4975) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 28, 2016
Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #43. Draught pint at Sir Benedict’s in Duluth, MN, August 2008. Near-opaque black, moderate bit of head, slow-diminishing, little lace...roasty, lightly chocolaty nose, decent enough if unexciting...flavor profile however is flat, dull, cardboard with little of interest...sweet, a bit of roast, but little to describe...overcarbonated and thin on the finish. drpimento (3815) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 14, 2015
Rather bland in all regards. I did get a little roast in the nose and a some sweet malt in flavor; not much else. Body’s a touch thin. Forgettable. Hoprider (785) - DENMARK - SEP 11, 2015
Pours clear dark brown with a frothy beige head. The nose surprises with the fact that this smells more like a nutty brown ale than a porter. Anyhow.. Hazelnut, malt, chocolate powder but all very restrained and thinish. The taste is also on the weaker side again with nuts and maybe a German bock quality.. I’m missing some body and roasted omph! An easy drinker..

Black with foamy tan head. Light roasted malt on the nose. Taste- smooth semi-sweet chocolate and coffee along with just a very light roasted malt profile. Very light and drinkable stout.
