Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of bread, earthiness and light fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of caramel, earthiness and a hint of fruitiness with a smooth finish. asheft (3083) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 15, 2014
[on tap at Duluth Airport; I’m guessing this is an alias for Smooth Skies served at DLH] Pineapple, pine, and faint grapefruit hops aroma in front of faint base malt. White cover that laces the glass on top of slightly hazy light bronze. Hoppy and caramel balance with a subtle bitterness leaving the balance toward sweet. Hops flavour are herbal and spicy with some grapefruit, pineapple gummy bear, and faint pine. Medium body, medium carbonation, almost crisp feel. MNAle (189) - Minnesota, USA - JUN 11, 2014
A very enjoyable ale. More of a bitter or an English Pale Ale than an APA, though, to my taste… which means I like it a lot. Aroma is a bit weak, but everything else is wonderfully done. Good balance, not over hopped. Good palate and good aftertaste. gopherfan99 (1832) - Minnesota, USA - APR 17, 2014
Bottle, pours a coppery color with a big white head, starts slightly sweet with toffee and citrus notes and finishes bitter, okay beer ChiGuy68 (599) - Illinois, USA - MAR 18, 2014
Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. It poured dark amber to copper hue with a frothy off-white head and minimal streaky lacing. Has a piney hop aroma and the taste of hops and malt with a hint of caramel and a slightly bitter finish. A decent brew to celebrate fulfilling my civic duty. Get out and vote!

Smooth and creamy. Lightly malted, hints of caramel. Very foamy... Lots of head out of the neck of the bottle.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with white head. Herbal, floral hoppy, grassy flavors. Not great. mnmike (1086) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Bottle pour. I appreciate the hops here with this darker brew that isn’t dwarfed by the malt vikingguy (1103) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Cloudy orange. English malt on the nose. Medium body, biscuit, wheat and some grassy/fruity hops. Nice.

12oz bottle from theisti. Pours a very slightly hazed orangish/tan golden with smaller dense white head. Very subtle nose, more forward on the malt with the hops just adding a bit of orange sweetness. Touch of bitter astringency up front, light pine and citrus, definitely get the lightly toasted english malt character. Different take on an american pale and fairly enjoyable. Thanks Tim.
