Wow!! I imagaine this is what a really good FRESH EPA would be like.
Really great; if this was available here I’d put in a tap as an everyday beer on this one. Thanks to slikwily/ kyzr (1589) - Montana, USA - SEP 1, 2008
Gold pour with big white head. Nose of hops and some spice. Flavor is crisp with light citrus. Nice clean finish. beermatrix (1497) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - NOV 26, 2003
Nice golden hazy yellow color with little floaty things suspended within, a finger high head of off-white creamy foam sits awhile fading to a skim always present and the lace is amazingly sticky in large moth-holed sheets the whole glass down. Inticingly nice aroma to this with a super fine citrusy floral hop nose, touches of cedar pine needles with a great freshness, malts are lightly toasty and play underneath. Taste is freshly hoppy with a nice floral sweetness and some citrusy notions mixing with a light dry hoppyness. Well balanced with a light toasty malt background. This comes across so fresh its amazing! The overall taste is a bit one dimensional but the hops really shine and add to a great finish of lightly crisp dryness. Feel is very close to medium with a incredible smoothness and the drinkability is soooo nice. Finished this in no time, and another will be no prob. A very nice pale and session brew. Now if they can just do something about that IPA... tennisjoel (1475) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - APR 21, 2006
Bottle. Thin white head with amber body. Fruity & earthy/grassy aromas. Tast is light & buttery, maybe diecytal but not to the point of being overly offensive. I can tast the hops up front, but the finish has no bite, which leaves me unsatified. The aroma got me excited about this beer, unfortunately the ending is disappointing. tyler_mn (1475) - SLP, Minnesota, USA - SEP 27, 2007
Bottle. Light pine and citrus on the nose. Pours orange/gold with a thin off white head. Creamy body with a nice pleasant amount of dry and citrus hops. Decent, everyday APA.

Scary frothy head. Dirty amber color. Aroma is astringent perfume. Flavor has astringently bitter toffee and citrusy perfume. Eh... Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - SEP 10, 2010
(bottle) Pours a hazy orange color with a medium white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma has papery hops, light must, banana, cracked pepper, dusty yeast, bread, and some strong orange scents as well. Really unique for a pale ale, and to me it smells more like a tripel. It’s also unique in that sometimes it smells great, and upon other sniffs it smells off. Taste also shares some similarities with a tripel, as it’s quite spicy and full of orange zest, grapefruit pith, light banana, and ends with a fair dose of dry bread. A pretty good, but also really weird Pale Ale/Tripel something or another. heykevin (1281) - Decorah, Iowa, USA - DEC 17, 2002
Hazy gold with fruity perfumey aroma. Bright crisp hop flavor It has a refreshing bitterness, moderately sweet finish. has a bit of a hop juice character to it, but it is my kind of hop juice. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - AUG 5, 2007
Found this bottled at the Cashwise in Duluth, Minnesota. Clear, dark orange pour with a wispy tan head, citrusy hoppiness in the nose, balanced but not much happening here. GodOfThunder (1249) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUN 21, 2010
Thanks to Armin for the bottle. Aroma of sweet malts and aged hops. Flavor is more of the aged hops, sweet with a slight bitterness.
