On tap. A nice light amber color with smallish, off-white head, mostly diminishing and leaving behind nice, patchy lacing. Nose is citrus//fruit hops and mild with a sweetish malt; has typical barleywine nose aroma as well. Sweet front, soft carbonation and incredibly smoothe. The hops come in during the finish and are masked by the dominant malts, but reveal a citrus and fruit flavor, ever-so-light. Overall: light on flavor for the style, but incredibly smoothe. Definite English style barleywine and actually very drinkable...not a sipping beer, despite definite alcoholic content.
