Pours a thick rich deep chocolate pour. Nose is chocolate, with sweet fruit and whiskey notes. Taste is rich chocolate with fruity vanilla notes. A very drinkable beer, with the alcohol well hidden. Finish is sweet , but not over the top, with a cherry chocolate ending. A great imperial stout. Quaff Score 8 / 10 ( Dessert in a bottle )

Pours black with a brown head an aroma of cocoa, dark fruits, coffee, and roasted malt. Taste is creamy and sweet, lots of cocoa, chocolate with vanilla, coffee, and dark fruits leading to a creamy chocolate finish. Tasty brew with the alcohol well hidden

Bottle from total wine. This is an exceptional beer except aroma and appearance. Flavor is awesome not to much chocolate perfect smoothness. Nice chocolate with slight metallic. Aroma is lacking. And no head even at pour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from akurzinksi - thanks, Adam! Thick, chocolate syrup pour with a slight dustiness to the dark color and a hefty, creamy head. Nose is quite understated, mellow chocolate and slight vanilla extract. Lush and thick body, just a touch of bitterness on the palate. Only the faintest hint of fruits in the taste, nothing especially tart but just a mild grace note to the chocolate shake. Not bad.

It poured a black color with a brown head. The aroma was of raisins, cocoa, some roastiness and a touch of smoke. The taste was of molasses, chocolate nibs and roastiness. Very interesting.

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown nearly black with a small lingering brown head. Aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and dark fruit. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate and light fruittiness with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.

Draft at 18th Annual IMB Summer Fest:

Deep brown, creamy head, spotty lace. The aroma is nutty, chocolate, coffee, woody, smoky and hint of cherry pits. The taste is twangy prune and cherries along with coffee, walnuts, and some oak. Finished with some cocoa and vanilla bean notes. Very minor pepper like bite as well. The mouth feel is smooth and oily. Meh, honestly very average stuff... been there done that sort of vibe.

Bottle. Pour is inky black, 2 finger mocha head. Aroma is rich chocolate, molasses, roasted malt, dark coffee, light earthy hops. Taste is slightly burnt coffee, dark chocolate, some molasses, lemon in the background, finishes with some earthy bitterness. Body is silky, medium, with light carbonation.

Opaque black color. Minimal head. a sweetness in the aroma mixing with a mellow roast and alcohol note, and a hint of cocoa. Moderate bitterness balancing out a roast malt sweetness. Distinctive cocoa note peeks through a tangy, roasty mid-taste, finishing clean and bitter, with the roast flavors gradually gently fading in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Strong chocolate malt aroma, very inviting. Pours thick, dark black with only a touch of light brown head. Taste is absolutely fantastic with rich chocolate flavors and smooth silky body. Great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
