Another Oktberfest, this one was special release and on sale for like a dollar a bottle. Bottled in 09 of 09.
Pours a dark burnt orange, with a dirty greyish white head, dark for the style.
Smell is hoppy and metallic, less toasty character than most Oktoberfests. The malt is there as well.
The roasty malts are far more apparent in the taste, a solid attempt for tis style. Tastes like October for sure.
It is a pretty good Oktoberfest, not very easy to find though.

From the bottle, pours a clear deep scarlet red with a thin white head. Aroma is malty with some corn, taste is thickly malty but not syrupy, should go well with some kraut and brats next fall. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 29, 2009
12oz bottle. Another horribly infected Lake Front beer.. I think this is 3 or 4 different LF beers in a row now. Pours a clear darker orange light brown color with a small fizzy clumpy white froth. Aroma is sharp of vinegar and cherry sweetness, again LF has nice infected aromas haha, smells like the start of a flemish red. Flavor is harsh chemically, full and nutty, I can’t really describe this, some remnants of the malty Oktoberfest remain. Stop having bottling issues and I’ll stop rating the beers like this.... cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - MAY 19, 2008
12 oz. bottle via trade with KingpinIPA - Pours a clear deep copper color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Lively carbonation. Very light lacing. Aroma is sweet bready malt and herbal hops. Flavor is mainly sweet toasted malt. Very little hop presence in the flavor. The palate is a little flat. Medium body. A decent beer. Thanks Mike. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - APR 26, 2008
Mildly unfiltered amber with medium white slowly diminishing head. Sweet aroma of caramel, bread and toasted malts. Smooth taste of caramel, toasted malts and a touch of smoke. Not a bad brew but nothing spectacular.

From bottle : Pours a clear dark copper color, with a small white head that dies down quickly. Somewhat carbonated. Nose is nuts, caramel, and malt. Taste hits you with some nut meg, then some malts round it out, aftertaste is malty as well. Medium body that feels pretty smooth on the palate. Pretty good beer for the style, i like it. kmeves (1098) - Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 10, 2008
Clear amber color with good carbonation and smallish white head. Aroma is nutty, earthy and some caramel. Flavor is nutty and sweet but with good bitterness to balance it out. Small to medium bodied, long bitter sensation on the tougue at finish. fordest (2470) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - DEC 20, 2007
12 oz bottle thanks to Secret Santa. Malty nose off this copper colored beer with a smallish dissapating head. Flavor was malty and nutty. Decent hopping on the finish too. Pretty good for a style that is not my favorite. JK (6162) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - DEC 10, 2007
Some nutmeg in the nose and flavor. Good malt flavor, and full bodied. Light brown color. A good beer, like most of Lakefront’s products, though not exceptional. badgerben (5187) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 6, 2007
Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Hazy gold color with a medium head. Malty aroma with a little marshmallow-like sweetness. Floral hop taste. Very light malt. This seemed pretty plain, but certainly not offensive.
