Nice ruby color with about 2 finger head. Aroma as a mild maltiness and some biscuit when sniffing through the head. No hops really noted in the smell. Taste is malty sweet in the beginning and follows some heavy hop presence. Very high in carbonation and a light to medium body.
Pours a huge frothy brownish head, very bubbly and gives off nice dirty lacing. Has a coppery appearance with red hues. Very malty and hoppy aromas, with breads, pine and mild vanilla. Flavours are well balanced hops and malts. Citrus and light floral hops, toasty and nutty malts. Spices and notes of caramel also comes through. Alcohol is a little bit noticeable. Nice bitterness on the palate and good balance between sweet and bitter. Somewhat creamy. Slick and oily mouthfeel with a tingling, warming sensation. Great stuff!

(backlog). Amber colour with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma is caramel, nuts, some slight alcohol as well as some burnt sugar as well as mild toffee to it. Flavour is caramel, burnt sugar, some resin, mild dried sweet fruits and some slight herbal notes. Flavour hides the alcohol rather well.
A hazed reddish copper brown ale with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. Nice malt and spicy hop balance. Sweet n spicy, caramel chocolate rye? Body still lacking for a beer of this style, but pleasant overall.

650ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Clear mahogany in colour with a thin but lasting beige head, very nice lacing. The aroma is malty, some chocolate, pine and cherries. The flavour is sweet, malty, some bitter chocolate, alcohol and cherries. Warming mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, bitter and warming. A weird Barley Wine type beer. Bottle. Nose is very sweet and malty with heavy caramel, some oak/bourbon and vanilla character leeching in, although I don’t think this is barrel-aged, and maple syrup perhaps? Maybe I just associate strong ales with BA now? Pours a mix of ruby and orange, supports a medium, dense and rocky tan head. Medium body with alcohol showing but not burning, flat in the body as well as flavor departments, caramel and fruit with a little final tongue singe, berry with heavy spice, a little wood, a little spice, earth. Touch sugary but not cloying. It’s bright and alive despite the utter dullness of mouthfeel, and there are some interesting treacle and burnt notes in the bg, but not many hops here, at least not anymore.
