Tap - average size foamy head, dark amber/brown color, roast malt aroma and flavor, with some coffee notes (but not overbearing for someone who doesn’t like coffee like me), pretty decent hop balance andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 14, 2013

UPDATED: APR 19, 2013 Pours a dark blackish red from the bottle with thin tab cap of lacy head that spots nicely. Aroma is toasted malt, marshmallow, lager yeast, and chocolate malt. Taste is roasted barley up front and yeast, then a heavy marshmallow and chocolate flavor on the back end. Much better than I was expecting for the score or has on here. maybe the best offering in the mixed-six. Nice balance, rich maltiness and decently crisp hop bite.

A very rich and complex flavored dark beer. The pour is dark brown with no spotting and it has a clean coffee flavored finish with hints of malt and other caramel undertones. Very good dark kerenmk (5038) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - APR 4, 2013
Bottle, BOTM Club. Pours almost black brown with white ring. Malt and a hint of maple in the nose, sweetish malty, a little nutty taste, medium-body, soft carbonation, long, malty caramel aftertaste. OK. ThreeCats (1000) - ISRAEL - MAR 23, 2013
Nice Mahogany color with a right off-white head. Aroma of dark caramel, raisins, some chocolate, lots of malt. Taste of roast and caramel, a bit tart, coffee, medium body, some toast. Toasty palate. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAR 21, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours dark brown with minimal head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and caramel. Taste is light bitter. Coffee and dark chocolate. Light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Soft carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, its ok. Lakefront has much better beers than this. tomer (3703) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAR 17, 2013
At a tasting, thanks DSG, small stable creamy head, clear and a little deep brown colour with red hues, light coffee with some dried fruits, flavour of dark sour bread, wood and coffee. Fair and drinkable.
