COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an India Session Ale, which means all the hoppy goodness of a legit IPA, but with less alcohol. Huge citrus and floral aromas greet the nose from the stacks of Citra and Cascade hops added toward the end of the boil and in the whirlpool.
The flavour is extremely citrus forward with just a touch of light caramel malt, giving way to a mild, hoppy finish, coaxing yet another sip. In short, it’s a beer that bears repeating.

Keg at the brewpub, 8/16/16. Slightly hazy amber, large creamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of floral, citrus, lemony hops, pale malt. The taste is grapefruit and pale malt. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

ALLOVATE (3014) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 13, 2016
Hazy, sunny orange body with a lot of fine protein in suspension. Head is thin wafer of tight white foam that manages the length with good legs. Clean, fruity, piney and resinous nose with hints of grapefruit, pale stonefruit, nettles and honey. Quite creamy in mouthfeel and full both on the palate and in the swallow so I can’t rate this as being highly sessionable. Oddly, though, it is quite thin and withdrawn in flavour. Undoubtedly bitter with little to balance it from malt and yeast esters of fruit coming through from the hops. Not to say you can’t pick up notes of woody pine, grapefruit, lightly floral perfume and a touch of grassy roughage. Long, aperitif-like herbal bitterness in the swallow. A little harsh in bitterness but overall not too bad a drop. Just that one was enough. (12fl.Oz, BB 27/01/17, 1st Choice Liquor, Riverton)

12 ounce bottle from Badger Spirits in Janesville, WI, sampled a bit above fridge temp in a pint glass. Big off-white bubbly head decays slowly above a murky amber body...resinous aroma at first, slowly followed by citrus (lime, grapefruit), a bit of very ripe mango, forest musk...pretty dry, grainy, with a bit of woody-smoky character that seems out of place, very little juiciness, hop profile not all that strong or significant...full enough body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Ehh, not badly made but this is for me a little too dull to really work; have the feeling it might be significantly better on tap.

Skyview (6021) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - AUG 20, 2016
Sampled on draught at the Great Northern Beer Festival 2014 in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma of tropical fruity hops, a touch of caramel malt and pine. Taste is light to medium bodied with flavors of golden grain malt and tropical fruity hops. Finish has plenty of citrus hop and pine aftertaste without the lingering bitterness. Tongue shock recovery time is less than one minute.
