Pure Milwaukee Genius Series 3: Inspired by the energy and audacity of the Fearless Fixed Gear Courier, Lakefront ran smack into this arresting creation. It’s RED, it’s BOLD and it tastes DAMN GOOD. We could go on and on about it, but the fact is, you have one in your hand right now, so crack it open yourself. This one’s got an ATTITUDE.

maekchu (3947) - Hirakata, JAPAN - DEC 29, 2012
Bottle. Gift from Neko-chan. Big, live, stinky hop aroma (some funk?) Reddish-copper, small head, good lace. Sharp malty hit w/ good hopping; mid intensifies the hopping; final goes to balances and leaves bitter tracks in the finish. Medium body and great mouthfeel. Nicely done. Hops are just right: attendant but not obtrusive.

Draft. Amber in color. Sweet and bitter. More dry than sweet. Lighter in body. Very drinkable. Good sessionable selectiob. Nothing stands out but thats not necessarily a bad thing.

strap (937) - Sindelfingen, GERMANY - DEC 20, 2012
Deep red with a thin white head. Complex taste...a strong pine flavored hoppiness on the front with some cola sweetness on the back end. Well done beer, not at all what I expected ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - DEC 19, 2012
On tap. Pours a hazy deep caramel color with an off white head that fell slowly. Aroma of bright hoppy pine with lemon and light hay and caramel. Taste follows the aroma with a crisp and fresh piney and citrus hoppiness, along with the hay and light caramel undertones. Medium body with a moderate smooth carbonation.

madvike (3271) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 4, 2012
Bottle at the Nitty Gritty - Pours deep amber with a thin off white head. Nose is sweet caramel malt with a good very little hopping. Taste is the same, real thick and sticky sweet with just a touch of hopping on the finish. Thick and slick body. This was an old bottle from September, and it didn’t hold up well.

hayduke (5572) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 2, 2012
I got t his one via a trade with Strykzone. Thanks Dave. Pours a copper color with a foamy beige head and excellent lacing. Nose of caramel malts and some citrus hops. Full body. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is like the aroma with malt and grapefruit. Finish is bitter. This is one of the best ambers ever.

Really nice big caramel malt and piney hop presence. Blindfolded I probably would’ve guessed it was a smaller version off stone arrogant bastard.

BB1950 (10) - - NOV 24, 2012
great red ale, I have had a few reds in the past and really enjoyed them, but the good ones seem hard to find. Fixed gear as an Imperial red is really the cats meow, as it is brings both all the great peices of a red ale into an imperial style

Ferris (15901) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle - Dark malts and some booze. Amber clear nice medium head. Nice bitterness and red malts, bit of an alcohol bite and little finish. Slight hop profile, a bit resinous but pretty mild. Not bad, a bit pedestrian.

3.3
dfearnley (2203) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 24, 2012
Bottle to taster Aroma of tangerine, resin, pine and grapefruit. Deep clear red with a thin off white head and no lacing. Taste is sweet, and nutty, and bitter.
