Bottle to taster
Aroma of tangerine, resin, pine and grapefruit. Deep clear red with a thin off white head and no lacing. Taste is sweet, and nutty, and bitter. j12601 (13189) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 21, 2012
On tap at Pacific Standard during our bar crawl through Brooklyn. Pours a hazed ruby amber with a thin white head. Medium bodied, spicy malt, smooth and malty. Soft spicy malt, toast. Crackers and biscuit notes into a nice long bitter finish. Christpuncher (3214) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 21, 2012
A very smooth tasting beer with no aftertaste. Very mild for people who do not like a hoppy beer.

Caramel, bread, citrus, pine. Very nice head and retention, great aroma that matches the flavor. It gets even better as it warms up. Finhead (1831) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - NOV 18, 2012
A hazy, reddish-brown pour with a soapy, off-white head. The aroma has some hoppy pine with a caramel backbone. It has a thin, watery texture with average carbonation. The taste is pleasantly bitter with a dry finish.

Pint at Bigelos. A red brown beer that had little head. Complex hops on the nose. I taste rye first and that spicey character stayed. Richer malts with more grassy hops. A bit of bread. habadin (15) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - NOV 11, 2012
Bottle. Awesome smell. Not too overpowering. Low the red ale color. Taste malty and hoppy. Being born in Milwaukee doesn’t influence this rating at all... bytemesis (9345) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - NOV 7, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber with a small fizzy beige head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine, grass. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet with a light bitter finish. Medium body. Hoppier than many amber ales, which is a good thing IMO. jonno (2980) - JAPAN - NOV 3, 2012
A good, honest beer. Big PNW hop nose. Dies a little after a while. Lovely dark amber pour. Big creamy head. Lots of caramel, biscuit maltiness with a nice citrus/pine finish. Not bursting with flavour, but very drinkable. dinkle50 (1559) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 1, 2012
Cloudy red pour with a small head. Nice lacing. Aroma is a little muted and hard to pick up. Some hops in the taste which finishes clean. Grass and pine dominate. Medium body.
