3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
"On tap yesterday at the Old Fashioned: Pours a dark copper colour with a decent sized head. Aroma is biscuity. Taste is toasty and well balanced. Lots of fruit midpalate, like a fruit salad. But its hard to ignore the breadiness. Just saw these in bottles the other day, and I think i might pick some up! Re-rate 13/4/10: Man I don’t remember having this , but it was only a week and a half ago. holy smokes. I thought it was a different one. Anyway, taste is great, and im bumping it up a bit. Super heady bier, hearty and hoppy, and alcohol is easily concealed."

Bottle at Town and Country in Sydney.
Hazy copper pour. More Amber than IPA with sticky sweet honey and roasted flavours coming through. Some bitterness and citrus in the finish. Pleasant but not an IPA. akoeninger (755) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 19, 2017
Copper ale. Malty, herbal hops. Smooth, caramel malt and some hop bite. Medium body Cantabrian (1131) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 3, 2017
Amber ale? This "IPA" was served to me in an Atlanta steakhouse as a local brew. Copper-coloured, resinous, pine needles and grapefruit, dried apricots and a touch of caramel. Maybe a double IPA even, but nit an amber ale, neither a Georgia local brew.

Bottle. Amber in color with a beige head. The Hoppy aroma has notes of pine and citrus. For an IPA it was mildly bitter.
StoutBeerReviews (153) - Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 12, 2016
tastes like a mild ipa but with a darker color. It has a good bit of malt and a nice creamy mouthfeel too. Never had a red IPA before, so its got a weird appeal to it. Tezminator (240) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 31, 2016
Nice aroma of caramel and pine resin. Beautiful reddish copper colour. Nice head. Bold taste of caramel and spruce as well as weak grass and toasted ... something. Bitter finish from the hops and a proper alcohol kick in the taste as well. One of the better beers I have had recently. Another excellent IPA from the USA. Nice work. Ruddy, slightly misted copper body with a dollop of off-white cream on top that is mostly lasting. A hint of rich melanoidens on the nose give it an Anzac biscuit edge, otherwise there is a breath of roasted almonds, sticky marmalade, guava, abrasive hops and dried, mown grass. Chewy, biscuity and roasted, nutty malts dominate the palate but are softened by bitter, lastingly bitter, hops. Herbal and grassy, sharp with a touch of camphor and sappy resin. Lightly floral, earthy linger. Good body but actually light in the stomach so as to not weigh one down. Alcohol is there but melds in to lift the malt and hops. Leans towards the drier side overall which gets ticks from me. A likeable brew!!! (12fl.Oz, 6.8% ABV, BB 26/01/17, 1st Choice Liquor, Willetton)
