3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours an opaque dark brown with a thick, pillowy tan head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts, sweet overall but rather restrained. Taste is another matter completely, with an assertive coffee flavor dominating. Acidity of the coffee is rather high, making for a sour-sweet flavor. Sweetness of the malts adds to this profile, but there is also some bitterness noticeable as a result. Mouthfeel is a bit thick but far from oily, with a sharp tingling from the carbonation. In conclusion, I wouldn’t call this a great stout, but it is definitely a great coffee beer. One for the coffee geeks.
On tapped. Pours in black colour with very small off white head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, milk. Medium sweet, medium bitter, no sourness. Full body, low carbonization, long lasting sweet and burned milk aftertaste ehaak26 (638) - - AUG 7, 2017

Rating #2555 - 2016.05.05 - Bottle at Bainbridge in Philly. Dark brown pour with a weak off white head. Cocoa and vanilla on the nose, and big coffee earthy malt notes. Taste is very rich in coffee flavour and mild vanilla bean. Balanced for a sweet stout, very palatable indeed. Nicely put together. geologyguy (1629) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - JUN 30, 2017
UPDATED: JUN 30, 2017 Strong sweet coffee smell...taste is dark malt...coffee not as strong as you would think...medium sweet, no hops...bitter finish that detracts...fairly one dimensional..had pretty warm though Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - JUN 3, 2017
Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a sturdy black color with a finger’s worth of eggshell white foamy head that slid off at a decent pace. Sly lace.
The aroma had a hefty dose of milk chocolate melding with some dark roasted malts and intertwining with a little bit of butterscotch and coffee creamer. Some roasted coffee beans trying to present a light balance.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side slightly with a presentable roastiness sliding in right before the aftertaste. Semi-sticky little finish, somewhat sweet.
The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a fair sessionable quality about it. Carbonation felt good, seemed to rub right into the grab of the roastiness fairly nice. ABV seemed a bit under than what was projected.
Overall, pretty good sweet stout, a bit more balanced than others of it’s style.

I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours black with a small, tan head. The aroma is coffee and chocolate. The taste is coffee, chocolate, and slight hops. This is pretty nicely balanced and tasty. gopherfan99 (1996) - Minnesota, USA - APR 5, 2017
Tap; pours black with a beige head; strong coffee aroma with hints of roast malt and chocolate; taste is dominated by the coffee again with a hint of roast malt; light bitter finish with the coffee lingering randy1969 (64) - Marengo, Illinois, USA - MAR 29, 2017
UPDATED: APR 4, 2017 From the bottle. Certainly a strong coffee aroma, the flavor is coffee bean, fruity. The bean fruit flavor continues into the finish. I’m not a coffee drinker, but I kind of like it Aggiebob (1208) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - JAN 27, 2017
