Deep dark slightly hazy Amber hue, with a thin ivory head. Nice semisweet lovely pumpkin spice and earthy herbal aroma with cardamom and allspice and gourd and full maltiness. Smooth full flavor that's malty and deep amberish with allspice and clove and gentle woody barrel aged nuances and light vanilla and a kiss of pumpkin gourd tones through the finish. Pleasant and charming as.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Wauwatosa, 9/28/16. Hazy copper, thin fizzy tan head, fair retention. Aroma of pumpkin, vanilla, brandy, oak, spice. The taste is vanilla, oak, citrus, pumpkin, cinnamon, clove. Medium bodied, well balanced. Nice beer!

Shared 2016 12 oz. bottle at 13.4 % abv and 20 IBU. Poured to a snifter showing a hazed amber hue, with a presentable layer of off white foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was caramel sweetness, noticeable brandy, more of a dried fruit scent than pumpkin, pie spices as cinnamon & nutmeg, and pronounced vanilla that blanketed & mellowed the other notes. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was similar, with moderate bitterness that showed light tannins & some earthiness, and not overly boozy, brandy warmth. More spice than pumpkin, heightened barrel & added vanilla, but a tasty result.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2016 Nice deep orange color with some haze. Aroma of warm booze and nutmeg all spice. Mouth is medium but still has a good coverage. Taste is slight sugars, brandy gives the raisins but light and fruity. Pumpkin is even and balanced. The version I had was 13.4% abv. Tap

Murky brown color with a medium head. Aroma of allspice, cloves, and sweet brandy. Caramelly, brandy, and spiced flavor. Cinnamon and ginger. Vanilla. Definitely sweet, but I didn’t find it cloying.

This would be up around 3.5 if it wasn't so damn sweet. Then again, this was aged in brandy barrels. Also, the one I'm drinking is 13.5% The aroma is that of a sofa. You can almost taste the sugars through your nose. The initial taste is a large amount of cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Pumpkin is definitely there, too. They do a decent job at masking the ABV, but there is some warmth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a red-brown color with a trace foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet with table sugar, toasted caramel, nutmeg and cinnamon sugar. The flavor was sweet with a fabulous mix of table sugar, cinnamon sugar, nutmeg, clove, raisin, plum an brandy. Real depth of flavor that grows with each sip. Amazingly long finish. Full bodied and surprisingly smooth. Outstanding!!

October 11, 2016 - on tap at Gerst. Light brown or dark orange pour with limited head. Aroma and taste were dominated by the brandy. A little bit of sweetness and pumpkin spice were there, but brandy/alcohol was very strong from start to finish.

Huge brandy aroma. There are some spices in there, too, and caramel sweetness but the brandy is overpowering, though also enticing. Tasty but would have benefited from a bit less time in the barrels.
