Bottle pours deep red/black with a rocky beige head. Aroma is sweet with notes of roast, dark chocolate, plum, anise, and a touch of vanilla. Flavor shows more roast than the nose let on, almost approaching smokey, with underlying dark fruit as well as some coffee. Overall body is moderate, creamy and finishes with a nice roasted bitterness.
22 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount. Black with a tan head. Chocolate and malty with a slick, medium body. Pretty sweet. zoucrew102 (1818) - - JUN 8, 2013
Bottle from Bubbles is Castle Rock. Rich chocolate malt aroma with a hint of coffee. Pours black with very thin light brown head and more carbonation than expected from a porter. Taste is strong, rich chocolate malt with some coffee notes. Finishes smooth with just a touch of bitterness from the hops. Good well-rounded porter.

Tap at Sugar Maple. Deep brown-black with a steady off-white/beige head. A pretty decent rendition. Sugary chocolate, a hint of coffee. Sort of mellow carbonation lets the malts and lack of hops shine. Easy going, middle of the road. Unremarkable but a decent effort for Lakefront. Big caramel taste, not as overly sticky and cloying as some authentic versions can be. AWISLguy (3053) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Bomber from ?? (Sendiks in Brookfield, I believe). Cellar aged for a year. Pours black with a brown head. Some nice foamy lacing. Aroma has molasses, chocolate and caramel with some dark fruits involved. Taste is of bittersweet chocolate, sweet molasses, salty black licorice and expresso. Medium to full bodied, and slightly rough. Finishes bittersweet, somewhat salty and quite dry. It is baltic-y; that was hit well - and is a reasonable effort from an inconsistent brewer. Bottle. Hearty looking very dark pour with a modest light brown head. Sweet dark malty aroma, molasses, light ash, dark fruits. Chewy dark caramel malt, chocolaty, with a little soy sauce, a little ashy smoke, and lots of figgy and pruney fruit acids. Nice sweetness, full bodied. Loved it.

Bottle from a shop in Superior, Wisconsin. Black with no head. Sweet sugar and dry red wine in the aroma, with some yeast. Good flavor, if not the most complex Baltic porter. Sweet with chocolate and some coffee, but the chocolate is more pronounced. Some red wine and a tannic dryness in the aftertaste. Good palate. twindadplus2 (709) - Wisconsin, USA - SEP 14, 2012
Bottle. Deep brown color with a tall tan head. Dark roasted coffee and malt aroma. Same rich, roasty aroma but with a bittersweet backbone to brighten it up. Full bodied and smooth with a light bitter finish. Very nice porter indeed. cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 20, 2012
Bottle. Dark brown color. Short head. Roasty, chocolatey, earthy nose. Medium sweet, light bitter flavor. Medium-full body, average carbonation, and a roast and hop bitter finish. Reid (2527) - Salem, Oregon, USA - JUL 6, 2012
22 oz bottle Roths Sunnyslope Market in the bargain cart $1.99
I have no idea how this got there..never saw it on the beer aisle!
Typical Baltic black black body and rich bubbly tan head..nice.
Ah all the great malty, chewy, burnt aromas of a true Baltic superb.
Taste is much the same as the aroma..rich,toasty but with a bitter sweet dark fig/date fruitiness..lovely
Very nice smooth mouthfeel just the right amount of carbonation.
Very very nice Baltic..i have no idea how this came to be in the bargain basket in S.Salem but I am happy we found each other Syzzer (647) - Oregon, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Extraordinarily black/dark. Burnt malt flavor drops off prematurely. There is a decent head.
