Pours a slightly hazy, pale golden orange color with a one finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Lightly smoked malt aroma that has enough of a rauch/smoked beer character without overpowering the lager elements. Some campfire/charcoal along with barbecued meat and ash followed by grassy, floral hops, straw and light fruit notes. Smokey but has decent balance.
Medium bodied with a flavor profile that’s very similar to the aroma. There’s a tasty delicate smoked malt profile that provides great flavor without overpowering everything else. I’m a huge smoke head but for this style it’s nice to have some balance. Plenty of smoke, charcoal and bacon like flavor but it’s countered by paler non-smoked malt notes, grassy hops, bready yeast and light fruit sweetness. Hints of apple and pear on the back end before a slightly dry finish. Very flavorful while re sing well balanced and easy to drink. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 1, 2015

Clear golden colour with a small white head.
Mild smoke, malt and mild sourness in the aroma.
The flavour is mild smoke, smoked ham and some malt.
Thanks John!! .. 22 ounce bottle .. Pours a deep gold.. eeep! .. Medium sweet smoke, quite a lot of sweet syrup/cereal .. Mild mouth and a sickly sweet finish .. A nice smoked but the base and sweetness lower the enjoyment just a touch .. . . The first person to beer mail me a picture of a cat , gets a free pint! Bomber. Clear light golden pour with a spotty white head. Smoked meats on the nose. Slightly sweet. Bolder carbonation. Decent. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Clear amber with a thin white crown. Aroma of smoked meats with a pale malt backbone and some toffee underneath. Taste is pale and smoky with a touch of nobility and bready malt. One tricker that conforms to the law of diminishing returns.

Bomber bottle poured a golden hue w/ a thick rockey long lasting white head. Faint bready aroma. Initial flavor is a moderate sweet w/ a faint bitter finish of short duration. Taste is smokey malts. A pleasant level of smokiness. Light bodied, creamy mouthfeel, and soft carbonation. nuplastikk (6289) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 10, 2013
Tap at Sugar Maple. Filtered orange-tan body, thin white head. Creamy, mellow, medium bodied. Quite surprisingly well done, this is sessionable and enjoyable, and doesn’t come across cheap or grainy like other LF stuff can. Mild faint hop balance, smooth golden malt and minimal, but present, smoke balance each other out well. I can dig it. blipp (9305) - La Mesa, California, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Lightly smoked and sweet malts. Very clean finish. Appropriately low bitterness and good balance throughout. Lighter notes of grain, bread, and caraway. This is a very solid helles rauchbier. Lots of very competent craft brewers churn out awful lagers, but this one is pretty good. jake65 (3696) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - SEP 7, 2013
Bottle: Cloudy orange gold color with a little white head that fades fast. Nose is a muted Helles; bicuit malt and grassey florals. Nice addition of smoke to compliment it. The same carries onto the flavor, where its evident the Helles has been paired with smoked malt. Good peat flavors. The smoke is paired very well here and the base beer is distinguishable. Really enjoyed this more than I thought I would and would honestly have this again anytime. TheHOFF43 (2052) - Robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA - JUL 30, 2013
