Dark brown with a dissipating tan head. Aromas of dark roasted malt and hints of dark cherries. A Schwartz aroma with a touch of fruit. Sweeter flavors with sugary roasted malt, dark cherries, dark chocolate and hints of tart apples. Cherries come out more as it warms. 2/14

651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, light beige head, with some lacing, over a clear, reddish brown (SRM 25) body.....nose is sour cherry from the fruit, cocoa and chocolate hints from the roasted malts, no coffee, minimal hops, balance to the fruit and malts.....taste is slightly sweet with heavy cherry from the fruit, sourness of a pie cherry, light cocoa with almost chocolate from the roasted malts, no hops, balance to the fruit and malt....mouth feel, medium body, no alcohol, slight carbonation and light acid on the finish. The fruit is apparent, but not utterly dominant, as so often happens in this style. The underlying beer is quite nice and could easily stand alone. Picked up at my visit to Lakefront for a $3. Pours a dark brown/black color with a quick fading tan, bubbly head. Aroma begins with a light cherry tartness followed by a just a touch of toasted malt presence. Flavor has a very strong tart cherry flavor. The cherry flavor melds with some light chocolate and toasted Munich malt in the middle and finishes with a light noble hops spice and grassy presence. Body is modest with not much carbonation and a light puckering from the tart cherries. Overall I can’t believe this was being cleared our for only a few bucks. The cherries are a bit on the dominant side but the tartness is perfect with the malt paring. I could drink a lot of this on warm summer days - dark, tart and great sneaking maltiness at the finish. Flavor has some great cherry pie type of notes without the sweetness. Great beer! zoucrew102 (1880) - - APR 13, 2014
Bomber. Sweet malt aroma with some sweetness from the cherries. Pours dark ruby red with a thin tan head and some lacing. Very light body and subtle malt flavor to start. Finishes smooth with good tart flavor of cherry at the end with the cherry flavor lingering on the palate. I enjoyed it.

Bomber poured a hazy reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of caramel, cherry and light cocoa. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of cherry, cocoa and caramel with a crisp dry lingering cherry finish. arkurzynski (2427) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 28, 2014
Dark brown with red hues. Nose of deep, dark cherry and cherry pit. Light notes of chocolate/cocoa. Flavor is tart to semi bitter dark cherry and cherry pit with a finish of bitter chocolate/faint roasted malt. Some dark fruit. Lightly sweet. Feels bigger than 6% in mouthfeel. Residual dark cherry and chocolate. Really captures that dark cherry meat flavor. Rather impressed. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - MAR 11, 2014
Poured from 22oz bomber, pours a clear dark brown red with an off white head and some lacing, aroma is sweet with lots of sweet malt and sweet grain, a little bit of fruit comes through too, flavor has a nice smooth front end with a tartness of cherries in the finish, kind of sour but smooth at the same time, I’m surprised by some of the lower ratings actually, this stuff is solid. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2014
Pour is a dark ruby red with a fairly tight tan head. Nose has a bit of stale grain, light metallic note with a faint smoke touch and a bit of cherry. Taste has a dark malts, sweet cherry, and lots of stale grain. Not integrated, flavors don’t go well together. Carb moderate, body is a bit heavy and extremely syrupy and slick. Bomber from Woodman’s in Waukesha. Pours a very dark brownish red with a tannish-orange head leaving some spots of lace. Aroma has chocolate and cherries and caramel. Taste is of black cherry. And black cherry. A tart, lightly sweet black cherry. Then, down through the glass, some caramelly malts and hints of chocolate. Light to medium bodied, lowly carbonated. Finishes sweetly fruity and tart, and quite short. Sure, tasty enough, and the most distinctly black cherry flavor had in a brew. Not much body. Would love to try the 25th anniv impy stout blended with this for a lot of body underneath the top black cherry flavor.
