Bottle from Elevated in South Mpls. Consumed with commonshawn. Beautiful pour. Full finger head that appears half tan and dissipates quickly. Dark brown with a cherry wood essence. Aroma is muted. Sweetness and roasted malt and chocolate. Tangy and thin mouthfeel. More refreshing than the appearance would lead you to believe. Almost has a tart fruit quality. Caramel and burnt sugar. Leaves a bit of funk at the end. Kind of a burst of flavors and spices that falls abruptly off the table. Bottle from elevated with commonmac. Dark brown almost black with off white head. Subtle aroma. Chocolate notes, then bready, and finished with malt. Not a ton of body and then dry. Draft. Dakr brown pour, off-white head. A very spicy dunkelweizen, cloves and cardamom, some roasted malt in there, and a bit of banana in the finish. Not bad.

Not such a bad beer except for the taste. Appearance is a light tan head that slowly settles to a ring and an island, no lace and an Amber Brown slightly hazy color. Aroma is dark malt some Caramel, tree bark and a little bit of barnyard. flavor is roast Malt, burnt rubber, carbonic tang, bittersweet. body is good. Hard to get around the burnt rubber thing.

Bottle from Breeze Thru. Pours a tannish brown with a bit of a white head. Aroma has bread and caramel and earthiness and light chocolate, with perhaps lemon. Later definite clove kicks in. Taste is of light caramel, bread dough, some spices including cloves, and some chocolate. Light to medium bodied. Finishes sweetly and quite short. Shrug? Bottled. Poured deep brown with a creamy beige head. The aroma picked up sweeter banana and chocolatey notes, with accents of cloves and rye.. came across as a fairly straightforward dunkelweizen, but no complaints there. The flavor found bitter black and chocolatey roast on the tip of the tongue, with dry cocoa darker fruity malts following.. semi-sweet banana and spicy cloves laced throughout.. finished a bit tart, with fairly generic roasty black malts and a bit of vanilla bean. Bottle - Murky brown pour with a foamy tan head. Nose is caramel, bread, banana, light nuttiness, with a touch of clove. Taste is the same, with lots of banana and mineral. Deep maltiness and medium sweetness. Smooth and full-bodied, with ample carbonation. Very nice interpretation of the style.
