Great Taste, 2017. Red color. Well smoked in both the flavor and the aroma. Dry wood, malt, that gives a little sweetness but still a dry beer overall. The smoke is strong and well done. wlajwl (7068) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUN 20, 2017
Aroma is smoked malts and big BBQ notes. The flavor is smoked malts, mild wood, BBQ and a n acidic/dry finish. twindadplus2 (736) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 19, 2017
Clear reddish brown with a small but firm tan head. Dark roasted malts and smoky sweetness in the aroma. Flavor is sweet, creamy malt and smoke with a light bitterness at the end. Light carbonation for a smooth finish. Very nice. Smoked beers definitely aren’t my favorite but I definitely enjoyed this one. JPDIPSO (6286) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAY 15, 2017
Dark copper to umber color. Diminished tan head. Sweet and roasted malts dominate the scents. Lighter feel, effervescence keeps it quite lively. Caramel and mild smoke roll through. Simple, balanced, crisp rauchbier. jackl (8423) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 6, 2017
Keg @ The Rigby, Madison. Amber pour with a small head. Earthy smoked malt. Mild ham. Soft toasted wood. Flavor is fairly sweet and smoky. Toffee. Light toasty nuttiness. Medium body, soft carb. Too sweet to be Sessionable, but it’s OK.

Sampled from the tap at The Rigby. Pours a clear amber with a slight orange hue and a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a nice sweet smoke with sweet grains and a hint of jerky backing. Flavor combines jerky and sweet grains well with a sweet grain backbone. phoner2 (46) - Racine, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 3, 2017
Nicely balanced, easy drinking with a hint of smoke just right. This one is really great. AWISLguy (3327) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 3, 2017
12oz bottle from Three Cellars in the Falls. Pours a brownish red with a pinkish tan head leaving little lacing. Aroma leads with meat smoke, some fruits, some sweet malt. Taste is an interesting smoke/fruit blend; cherries or cranberries. Some sweet malts join the party, but the others lead, neither really solo-ing. About medium bodied with a touch of an alcohol presence, the blend is solid and the carbonation is soft. Finishes salty sweet with that lingering berry presence. Interesting effort. 13.5 mjmoen (595) - - MAY 2, 2017
B. Pours a clear copper color with white head. "Has just enough smoked malt to give it an interesting depth, but still finishes crisp". Very good description crossovert (13909) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2017
355ml bottle. This is not gonna scratch your Schlenkerla itch but it is a nice drinkable dark smoked lager.
