Purchased at a gas station in Milwaukee, WI, enjoyed while doing band video shoot. Can't comment on the appearance as it's drank from bottle. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Taste is decent, just an average brew though.

DATE TASTED: November 22, 2013... GLASSWARE: Howard’s Pub pint... OCCASION: Shark Tank Friday... APPEARANCE: another handsome ale from Lakefront--a dark copper body with a slow,, steady carbonation; milky, thick head again, formidable lacing... AROMA: nice buttery, toffee fragrance floats easily through the nostrils; pleasant malts and sugars balance reasonably... PALATE: strong backbone belies the alluring scent; medium-bodied and a bit stronger than the average ESB, I would suspect...TASTE: impactful at the teeth--some fruit suggestions and malt that stacks itself rather earnestly--a rather thin profile, overall...OVERALL: I prefer my ESBs light, buttery, nutty and drinkable; Lakefront’s edition offers little engagement in these areas, coming on a bit too strong for my expectations... ajnepple (6978) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 8, 2013
12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount. Amber and a little hazy with an off-white head. Toasted malts, light bitter hops, light caramel and grains. Pretty mild with a light body. RobertDale (6755) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - OCT 30, 2013
12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a nice biege head. Aroma of malt, citrus, and caramel. Taste is the same. Just an average beer at best. Patrickctenchi (6690) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Slightly hazed amber with a short, light tan head.
Caramel malt aroma.
Watery caramel taste, with a slight leafy bitter.
Tasty, but nothing phenomenal.

A bad case of the floaties as it settles in the glass. Hazy, ruddy copper with a single stream of carbonation central of the glass. An inch of foam holds on well atop and leaves a thick lace - Is this its only saving grace?
Aroma is dominated by notes of leavened raw bread dough, soft white cheese, butter and soggy cardboard - ugh, not good at all. Super sweet citrus and toffee makes for a sugary, headache of a start. Acridly weedy and bitter in the back, like sucking on nut-grass rhyzomes - not pleasant. Buttery, yeast- bitten finish means it just gets worse. I couldn’t finish this one. Suffering sweats now; down the drain it goes. Not in fine form or possibly as the brewer wanted it!? Woeful! (12fl.Oz, BBE 03/14, Freo Doctor Liquor Store, Fremantle)
