Pours a hazy dark amber with a sticky off white head that laces the glass quite nicely. Aroma is bready, caramel, and fresh greens. Flavour is caramel, bready, lightly spicy hops, and mild bitterness. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Orange with a white head. Aroma is bread and sugar. Flavor is grain, toffee, grass and low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. robobeerbelly (78) - Wisconsin, USA - APR 9, 2013
not that bad of a beer if you can get over the bitterness of it. i couldn’t. jrodooo5 (1690) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Pours a hazy copper with no head and leaves no lacing. The aroma is subtle but nice. The taste is a little underwhelming. I expect big and bold from ESBs but this is just relatively light and drinkable. There is a little bit of hop bitterness in the finish but there is nothing here to write home about. Not bad, decent session beer. Maybe a little light for the style, and a slightly metallic up front, but gives way to a fairly smooth and creamy beer with reasonable maltiness and a clean finish.,

Bottle - Grains and caramel. Clear amber with an off white foamy head. Nice malty flavors, with some light caramel and bitterness. Very clean finish, with next to no residual bitterness. A superbly sessionable beer. Lemke10 (987) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
I don’t know if this beer is worthy of the title E.S.B. but at least it’s decent. It pours a cloudy dark amber color with a slight scent of wheat. Has a good strong wheat flavor with a slight bitter finish to it. Drinks rather smooth and is quite different from the taste of many other of Lakefront’s beers. a clear fresh looking beer of a tan amber color. Sweet malt with caramel and slight fruitiness smell. Sweet taste with touch of tin and butter taste. A lighter crisper version of ESB. chinchill (5164) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 5, 2013
12 oz bottle served in pint glass poured a hazy amber/copper color capped by a thin off-white head with poor retention. Smells fruity, a bit yeasty, and like caramel malt. The taste is dominated by caramel malt. Rather even sweet/bitter balance; a bit sweet for an ESB. Very slight metallic off-taste. Medium/light body with low carbonation.
O: A disappointing offering from a superior brewery shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 17, 2012
Tap at the Watering Hole. Amber coloured, golden creamy head. Aroma nice maltiness, English ale smell unsurprisingly, slight citrus hops. Taste ok, malty, bit of bitterness, bready. Not really my favourite style, but not bad.
