3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma: Nutmeg, a bit of cinnamon, a hint of pumpkin, brown sugar and a hint of toasty malt. No hop aroma.
Appearance: Slightly hazy copper with a thin, fine white head that lasts. Filtered bottle with no sediment.
Taste: Flavor is mostly spice with a bit of pumpkin and a little toasty malt. No hop flavor unless it’s a bit of English muddiness hiding behind the spice.
Mouthfeel: Sweetish, medium body. Low carbonation
Overall: Decent pumpkin beer, but pretty one-dimensional. Most pumpkin beers are really just pumpkin spice beers- it’s neither surprising nor necessarily bad that this one is as well.
12oz bottle from Woodmans in Waukesha - pack mostly for USArmyMajorRet. The pumpkin brew season begins again ... likely ends right here, for the year. Decent version, clove and allspice-y. 12.3 nuplastikk (6453) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 31, 2017
Growler from Lakefront. Filtered amber-orange-brown body. Thin white head. Big pumpkin and spice tones. Smooth, easy body. Quite fresh and well executed, the lager notes are smooth even if they are smothered in pumpkin pie tones. Good. PatrickYEG (62) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 24, 2017
Pumpkin Lager is brewed with pumpkins in the mash, spices added during the boil, and lightly hopped. The rich specialty grains and lager fermentation combine to produce the taste and the texture of pumpkin pie.

Not overdone on the spices, but really not all that exciting either. A sweet lager, malt forward with moderate fall spices. Thin to medium bodied but crisp. OK. jflopsu (1801) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - OCT 15, 2016
Pours a hazy bright rust orange. A strong pumpkin and cinnamon aroma. A sweet taste of sweet malt, pumpkin, and spices. A lingering pumpkin spice aftertaste. MetalNHopHead (2191) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - OCT 1, 2016
Ah yes, fall is when the American beer market is inundated with dark Lagers and Pumpkin ales. For convenience, Lakefront has found a way to combine the two. This brew pours clear copper orange. Short-lasting off-white head, no lacing. Aromas of Lager yeast, toasted pumpkin, and baking spices. Cooked pumpkin and bread flavors. Only a bit of spice, the balance keeps them from being obnoxious. Medium-bodied. The balance definitely leans in favor of sweet. It doesn’t do much for me, but it’s okay.
