Pours hazy orange with off-white head. Strong pumpkin-pie aroma (minus the whip-cream). Flavor was a mild malt pumpkin with bitter-sweet finish. Great for october! Metalhead (644) - Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2007
Decent holiday beer with the right amount of spices and a not too watery not too thick mouth feel. Quake1028 (638) - Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 25, 2007
12oz bottle. Orange body, huge rocky off white head. Smells of metallic pumpkin spice, coriander, cinammon and sweet malts. Flavor falls apart, not enough pumpkin notes to please me. Finish is bland and brief. Medium bodied, sticky mouthfeel. Very average. maltdog (626) - New Mexico, USA - MAR 18, 2010
Improbable shiny copper color with a creamy ivory head. Insanely pungent smells of redhots and pomanders (those clove-studded oranges you see hanging in your elderly aunt’s closet). Tastes like liquified potpourri with undercurrents of diacetyl. Caramel malts are evident. Thick, slick mouthfeel and a mouthwashy burn on the tongue. Post-vomit bilious aftertaste. Over the top spicing in this beer is orders of magnitude too much, and makes every aspect seem terribly tacky and artificial. I may have rated it too high. Trade from Jamil 09/20/13. Full pumpkin spice nutmeg scent with clove over a gorgeous pour, fluffy white head on a bronze body. Medium sticky feel. Good pumpkin pie flavor, but the taste falls a little flat. Overall, a decent pumpkin. A good pumpkin for everyday drinking.

Clear Amber Color, Medium Bubbly Head That Dissipates Rather Quickly, No Lacing. Pumpkin Aroma. Taste is Mostly Of Pumpkin, No Distinguishable Spices. Medium Body. Mellow. Decent... howie (549) - DeForest, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 20, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2003 Orange-amber color, coarse, dissipating head. Aroma of cinammon. Decent body, flavors of cinammon. Not as heavy on the cinammon as "Buffalo Bill's", but it's still way too much and doesn't allow the subtle pumpkin flavor to come through. Not a compliment to Lakefront's time-tested and smooth lager.

Update: After reading the other ratings here, I can't believe I'm drinking the same beer. Hardly a mention of cinammon. Maybe their recipe is less than precise or this year's cinammon is unusually potent.
Bottle from Pauly’s. Orange in color with a minimal white foam head.Ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg spice aromas. Tastes like grandma made pumpkin pie with some lager in the mix, very nice very subtle. Nice mouthfeel, some lacing. Solid offering. VitaminR (540) - Colorado, USA - AUG 20, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2009 Sweet fleshy pumpkin nose with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Burnt orange color, slight haze, small head. Flakey pie crust and chilled pumpkin pie filling sweetness. Slight bitterness and spices for balance. Good carbonation, full mouth feel, fairly clean finish considering the all of the different flavors. One of the better pumpkin beers out there, it is the pumpkin ale Willy Wonka would make if he was a brewer! natejgood (528) - Bozeman, Montana, USA - SEP 24, 2008
This beer pours almost orange in color with a light white head. The beer is a bit hazy in the glass. The aroma is sweet and a bit like pumpkin spice. You can definitely taste the lager flavor, but it is sweet and has some hints of pumpkin pie spice. The flavor is a little sweet and doesn’t have as much of the spice as I would like, but it’s not a bad pumpkin beer.
