THOUGHTS: A good deal lighter than most pumpkin beers in body, but not light on flavor. Way better than I was expecting. I thought they just made a lager to be different, but it was really a great tasting beer. Incredibly easy to drink.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a slightly cloudy, light to medium, orangey copper with a large, off-white head that pretty much fully diminished. The aroma had light grain; moderate caramel; slight hops; and mostly sweet pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and slightly bitter and sour; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet and slightly bitter and acidic with a sort of short duration. There was caramel malt, sweet pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices, and light and crisp hops. The light to medium body was slick and creamy with fizzy carbonation. It went down so easy.
Cloudy gold pour with a khaki head and fair retention. No lacing. Flat mouthfeel. Light cinnamon and nutmeg spice flavors up front with a mellow finish. Easy drinking. Nothing great, nothing bad. Repeatable. AWISLguy (3429) - Wisconsin, USA - SEP 6, 2017
12oz bottle from Woodmans in Waukesha - pack mostly for USArmyMajorRet. The pumpkin brew season begins again ... likely ends right here, for the year. Decent version, clove and allspice-y. 12.3 nuplastikk (6514) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 31, 2017
Growler from Lakefront. Filtered amber-orange-brown body. Thin white head. Big pumpkin and spice tones. Smooth, easy body. Quite fresh and well executed, the lager notes are smooth even if they are smothered in pumpkin pie tones. Good. Homer321 (5250) - Melboring, Florida, USA - APR 15, 2017
Bottle from a trade. Holy pumpkin aroma, Bateman. Spicy. Phenolic. Lots of clove palemgold color. Taste is less clove lien but still spicy. Like more nutmeg. Yup. It’s a pumpkin beer. Can’t finish the glass. anders37 (27635) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JAN 9, 2017

Keg at the brewpub, 8/16/16. Clear amber, large creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of strong pumpkin spice, pumpkin, toasted malt. The taste is toasted malt, pumpkin, pumpkin spice. Medium bodied, mild lingering spice. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 18, 2016
Not overdone on the spices, but really not all that exciting either. A sweet lager, malt forward with moderate fall spices. Thin to medium bodied but crisp. OK. jflopsu (1862) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - OCT 15, 2016
Pours a hazy bright rust orange. A strong pumpkin and cinnamon aroma. A sweet taste of sweet malt, pumpkin, and spices. A lingering pumpkin spice aftertaste. MetalNHopHead (2275) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - OCT 1, 2016
Ah yes, fall is when the American beer market is inundated with dark Lagers and Pumpkin ales. For convenience, Lakefront has found a way to combine the two. This brew pours clear copper orange. Short-lasting off-white head, no lacing. Aromas of Lager yeast, toasted pumpkin, and baking spices. Cooked pumpkin and bread flavors. Only a bit of spice, the balance keeps them from being obnoxious. Medium-bodied. The balance definitely leans in favor of sweet. It doesn’t do much for me, but it’s okay.
