Wisconsinite: the most Wisconsin beer ever! Made with 100% Wisconsin-grown malted barley, wheat, and hops, including a unique, first-of-its-kind, never before fermented, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain. It pours a hazy, unfiltered, straw color with a fine white head. The mild clove, banana, and citrus aromas from the Wisconsin yeast go well with the malty sweetness and fresh baked wheat bread flavors. With its light body and lively effervescence, Wisconsinite is a refreshing summer session beer.

I must say i drank this out of a heavily frosty glass on very hot day, so it might benefit from that. Cloudy pale yellow in the glass. Smells of dough and wheat. It is light but full of yeasty wheat. Leaves a yeasty palate but in a very nice way.

12 oz bottle: Pours golden with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of Belgian yeast, grass and dough. Taste is salty, sour and bitter. Flavors of Belgian yeast, grass and some bready malts. Too much sour yeast for my liking. Pretty smooth overall but has a nasty Belgian yeast bite.

330ml bottle. Pours pale straw colour with very little head and a medium amount of effervescence. Smell is metallic, some smoke, a bit yeasty. Taste is impressive, nice full wheaty taste, quite dry, not much in the way of fruits, small twang at the end, super refreshing beer.

Draft at the brewery. This is a classic, German-style weissbier. Coems across with a great banana/clove characer, sweet and creamy. Very easy to drink. Im not a weiss guy, but this was my favorite at Lakefront. (#5140, 7/5/2013)

Pours a cloudy light golden color with a small head that fades rather quickly with nominal lacing. Aroma of banana & cloves, mild citrus and not much else. Taste of banana, cloves mild citrus with a bit of malt and spice in the background. Has a gritty bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Fairly light body, a bit coarse and grainy. Comes across as a bit too sweet. Not a beer I would seek out.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours god with a creamy 4 finger white head. All that comes through the foam is clove. Med body. Flavor has clove and a decent amount of banana ester. A bit wheaty in the aftertaste. Decent drink.

I've been rating a lot of beers with the same score. This one has a nice aroma of Belgian style spices. The flavor has a bit of sour lemon, the spice and a peppery hop presence. The finish is quite dry and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lakefront Wisconsinite Summer Weiss is disappointing considering the brewery. I like all the beers from Lakefront, but this one just doesnt measure up. Pour is an expected cloudy yellow with a white fluffy head. Aroma is very light yeast. Taste is also a very light banana-cloves and it disappears quickly. There is nothing to stimulate the palate. Not sure what happened to this beer, but Wisconsinite wont be on my regular list.
