Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #79. 12 ounce bottle consumed at my parents’ house in August, 2008. I have this down as "Schell Rapala". Anyway, it pours a bright clear gold with just a touch of diminishing head...honey-sweet, lightly grassy typical nose for an all-malt lager but not all that exciting...fairly clean but more than a little too sweet, tasting of mango-peach juice, not bad in an IPA perhaps but not really working with the light pale malts here...bit syrupy and problematic on the palate, almost cloying to drink. Yeah I’m not likely to look for this for a re-try anytime soon. csaso (2266) - Missouri, USA - APR 29, 2015
Bottle - good size foamy head, medium straw color, sweet corn/malty aroma and flavor, fruity hop notes, not bad for a pale lager, a little too sweet though

Bottle. Finally found this sonofabitch as a single to purchase instead of a 12-pack, and I had to be in Nebraska to make that happen. Go figure. Pale watery gold pour with a small and quickly dissipating head. Little bit of corn on the aroma. Grainy, fairly sweet, and even a bit oily to the texture. boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - AUG 8, 2014

Not a bad brew, not a great brew, just somewhere in between. You could definitely drink this no problem but it just probably wouldn’t be your first choice...

Clear golden pour with a white head. Aroma is cereal grain, light malt. Crisp, clean lager, light malt taste, some cereal grain. Frank (4172) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 22, 2014
This a pretty decent lager. It’s a bit on the sweet side which brings out some fruitiness from the hops and an apple note from the yeast. I could deal w/ it being a little dryer, personally, as I feel like it gets a bit heavy for the style--not that this is a high gravity beast or anything. Not a bad lager. Mildly sweet with a light body and surprisingly substantive mouthfeel. esoxangler (100) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 4, 2012
Just a really average beer that i find refreshing while basking in the sun in northern Minnesota. Not great, but good. grainy and a little malty and hoppy, thats it. slightly sweet, slightly bitter, pretty well balanced. Miss Walleye and sunfish always treat me well
